I have an appt with my dr scheduled for next week but was wondering if anyone could briefly provide me with a breakdown of what the symptoms are of an ovarian cyst. I've been having some discomfort near my pelvic area. I also have had nauesa as well.

I'm not sure if I should be worrying because I have been on the pill for about a month. Does birth control change anything? Thanks

I have been on the contraceptive pill for 3 years and my periods are always very light, i mentioned this to the nurse when i went to collect the last lot of pills and she said it was quite normal to change your period either heavey or light. Anyway my last period might as well of been non existant. i've been with my boyfriend for three years and i doubt any pregnancy as i never forget my pills but is it normal for my period to be like this.
Thanks for answers.

In my office, my boss uses a hot water bottle to reduce period pains when she has them (small office, had to learn; good to know.) I gave one of those furry-animal-covered hot water bottles to my girlfriend and she said it helped her too.

Yet when I mentioned this method to other lady friends, they were horrified and said that that causes more blood to come through.
Are both schools of thought right? Does the warmth cause a greater flow and does ths help to get the most painful part over sooner? Or does the warmth simply reduce the pain from the cramps and the increased flow is an acceptable side-effect?

hi,im 20 and was told i have pcos when i was 16,i had always been a size 12-14,and never had reg periods, when i was told i had pcos my weight went from 10 stone to 17 stone in the matter of 4 years,iv tried endless diets and nothing seems to help me lose weight,im also desperate for children and the thought of not having any is so hard to bear,iv been to hospitals and they just say lose weight (easier said then done).im at my wits end.i try and talk to my mates about this but they havent got it so they dont really understand,(maybe i should start a meeting club for people with pcos,so they can talk to people in the same boat as them).i would be greatful for any help and advice people can give me.i go on web sights but i find they all say different things(confuseing). im on anti depressents due to my weight and thought of never having children. thank you for taking the time to read this.x

I was examined by a gynacologist when I was 16 years old. She put her hand inside my vagina and examined it very deeply. Then after, there was no blood or anything coming out of my vagina.Today I am 31 years old and I have never ever had intercourse throughout my life.
Just wanted to know whether my hymen is still intact and was not broken through that deep examination by my gynacologist.I am worried that she might have broken my hymen through her examination.

I don't care how much happy chemicals are pumped in me, I'm already overweight and if I were to gain anymore weight I'd be depressed for sure. I'm being totally serious, as a woman this is a legitimate concern. It's the same catch 22 as birth control, take it to have sex but gain weight from it and you don't feel very sexy. No one tell me to go to the gym please, I do work out 5 days a week and have a healthy diet as well. I work hard just to maintain!

I tend to have lumps or boils-look-alike (1cm width), located at the joint where my pelvis and my hips meet. I usually have this problem when my period is drawing nearer every month. I went to a doctor out of curiousity, and she told me that it is just a heaty boil. Is that true? Or is it something else? And no, it is definately not a wart. Going crazy soon, please help.
