It sounds like you may have something called an epidermal inclusion cyst...these are frequently in areas that receive a lot of friction (i.e. between the legs, under the breasts, under the armpits) and can "act up" around your menstrual cycle due to hormone fluctuations. The biggest issue with these things is that they can become quite painful and become infected.
The best thing would be for you to go to a dermatologist and have it biopsied/removed OR they may inject them with steroids (which will help calm them down and sometimes gets rid of them all together)...having them removed will also give you a definite diagnosis.
Best to have these looked at though, as they could be something else...your description of the "lumps" is kind of vague and one would have to see them to give you recommendations. It does not sound like you have genital herpes though, so dont worry about that!!

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 4 years ago, whilst I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I realize loads of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone who has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/jWr4N everything got better.
Not only was I able to eliminate all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This method provided the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I hope that I can help others too by sharing this story.

I know that we tend to not always believe in what our Doctors say.
If your not certain about the diagnosis, you should seek a second opinion.
More than likely your Doctors diagnosis was correct.
But one can never be to careful.
I know about 10 years ago, my husband was having pains when he laid on his side or stomach or when he pushed on the spot that hurts. He went to the Doctor and said "It hurts when I push here". The Doctor said, "then don't push there".
Great advice Doc, here is your $100. bucks

Your doctor is definitly right. It's caused by heat. Make sure you wear cotton panties & make sure their not too tight. Thats what manily causes it. Do they hurt? Are they "popable"? If so that's definitly what it is. Don't worry it's nothing serious. If you still feel unsure go to a local clinic and get a second opinion.

Maybe you should get checked out for genital herpies? Boils in the groin area are not normal to begin with if ya know what I mean.

It probably is what the doc told you, but if they keep coming back, and especially if they are painful, i'd try to see what you can do to prevent or cure them.
