I started my period last Tuesday and was supposed to start my birth control pills the following Sunday but I forgot. Is it ok to start the pills this Sunday or do I HAVE to wait until my next cycle?

Hey girls, there's this new birth control that allows us women to achieve amenorrhea. My doctor has asssured me that it's perfectly safe. So I'm wondering if anyone knows of any benefits (both medical and in your general lifestyle) of not having a period. Aside from not having the annoying mood swings and all that hormonal jazz - and being able to hook up whenever :) - are there any other things to look forward to?

P.S. If you don't know, amenorrhea is the absence of menstruation. In other words, it is when a woman doesn't get her period.

im 14 and iv had all the signs of starting my period, like hair growing under my arms, and "down there", im a 32A, n iv had a whitish discharge for about a year, but im 6lbs underwieight from what i should be, is this why i havnt started, or am i close n im not that underwieght for it 2 effect my periods starting?

I am 25 with a 1yr old son. After I had my son myhusband and I decided that I should no longer use birth control pills as I am heavy and I smoke socially etc... and 3 people we knew died from a birth control related blood clot in the past year, so since I have been off the pill my periods have been awful, I use the highest absorbancy tampon I can and I still ahve to change them about every two hours and almost every night I will wake up in a puddle of blood ruining my mattress and sheets, I dont know what else to do, I cant do much more then to wear and overnight pad and tampon. Can anyone offer info on what you do if you have a heavy period thanks

Okay, my period usually lasts for about a week. I know it's a long time, but whatever. What's really weird though is that I started my period for this month just a xouple of days ago and all of a sudden it has stopped. Maybe I'm over reacting, but it's just that I'm not used to having a period that lasts for such a short time. Does anybody know what it could be?

I've had symptoms of IBS for quite a while now, and i am usually too embarrassed to go to the bathroom when my fiance is home. It's not that bad because my fiance works a lot, but when he is home it gets very uncomfortable. In a couple of weeks we are going on vacation with his family, and that is making me worried. I really do want to enjoy myself, and not be uncomfortable or sick the whole time. if anyone can give me any advice on easy ways to deal with the frequency, I'd really appreciate it.

i mean, that's why they advocate male circumcision, to stop the buildup of smegma, which apparently stinks

-women get more smegma than men, so it stands to reason

bring back female circumcision, it stinks!

or else women can stop complaining that newborns should have their foreskins cut off because otherwise they will stink!

So I took a test on thursday and it said Neg. I was susposed to get my period on the 18 but still havn't gotten it. I then took another test Saturday and it said positive. To make sure i took another last night and it said negative. What the heck does this mean?
