It depends on what evidence your doctor has for saying you are" post menopausal". Going through the menopause is defined as the abscence of periods for 2 years,This means you have not released any eggs for 2 years. If you go 23 months and bleed again then the clock starts again. If you release an egg and it is not fertilized then you will have a period 2 weeks later. If you do not release an egg then you dont have a period. As you had a pregnancy last year you cannot possibly be 24 months without releasing eggs and therefore you cannot possibly be said to be post menopausal by this "rule of thumb". If your doctor has checked a blood test called FSH and if the value is greater than 12 then even if you are still releasing eggs they will be "Hard boiled" and unfertilizable whatever you do.

Doesn't post-menopausal mean that you have already gone through it and you're finished? It seems a little soon to make that diagnosis, since you were just pregnant a year ago.

If I were you, I would consult with an OB-Gyn immediately. If you want to get pregnant, there may still be options for you.

Sorry, to hear about the miscarriage.
If you really are post menopausal, you can not have any babies. Are you sure you are in menopause. Did your doctor say you are? Then you can't have children of your one. Maybe foster children of adoption??? Good luck.

I'd think it would be tough...post means after...if you are beyond menopause then supposedly you're childbearing years are over...check with your doc if you have questions though, there may be occurences of pregnancies after menopause, although I can't imagine how that would work if you aren't supposed to be ovulating any more...

Unfortunately no, if you're post menopausal that means you are no longer fertile.
