Skin Conditions - February 2007

For the last few years, i've been getting dry & flakey skin just between my eye brows, and also at the sides of my nose (nowhere else!) I've tried moisturisers, aquaeous creams etc and none seem to clear it up.
Although my diets not the best in the world, i do however eat fruit and veg on a daily basis and take vitamins, so am lost why this is? Can anybody help?

I have some nasty scars on my arms and torso from when I was a kid and was wondering if there are any creams, procedures etc. that could lessen or remove them? Thank you.

A friend of mine has a neice (age 18) with an acne problem. She has been using ProActive for 6 mos. now. BUT, her skin looks worse than it did when she started. She did clear up for a while but now she breaks out horribly and scars from the acne. She does use the product as instructed.
Has anyone else had this experience (or similiar) with the product?
I had been thinking of trying it but this concerns me to the point I just got a Retin A rx instead. Since I can no longer have kids, the side affect involving pregnancy is a non-issue for me.
I know there are tons of people who could sing the praises of ProActive, but, is there anyone who had a bad result as this girl did?

its like once i get rid of one or more than one and they start to die down, more come again! this happens once a month or so... is it my age (14)? if so when will this stop? and are there any ways i can stop this happening? im using face washes/cleansers etc like 3-4 times a day im just fed up of it please help!

What sexually transmitted disease causes Skin breaking out? Like, skin blistering all over arm, it is brownish, and big big big, sort of like Chicky Poxxy (Chicken Pox), and has tiny blood stains?? Or is this not sex contacted and maybe some type of Hepatitis?

I've been using Proactiv for several months, now, and I love it. I just recently ran out of it and I'm in a bind. I was wondering what wash I can use until I get my new order of Proactiv. I recently canceled my Practiv club membership because there was a kiosk in our mall that sold it but, surprise surprise, it's now gone. So, I need something to wash my face that will help my skin until I get my Proactiv wash in the mail. Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou.

What happens to really dark stretch marks on your hips, arms, and back after you lose weight? The marks on the hip are about 1 1/2 years, and the arms is about 1 year, and the back is about 6 months. If someone loses about 25 pounds to put them at a healthy weight, what happens to the thickness/color of the marks?

I have this small light red bump on my upper lip that I think is a cold sore. I've had it since yesterday and I'm FREAKING OUT. It doesn't hurt or anything, but when I touch it, it feels SLIGHTLY pressured. I'm like totally embarassed and I've tried putting ice on it so it could swell down.
