RE:
Dry skin, just between eyes brows and on sides of nose!???
For the last few years, i've been getting dry & flakey skin just between my eye brows, and also at the sides of my nose (nowhere else!) I've tried moisturisers, aquaeous creams etc and none seem to clear it up.
Although my diets not the best in the world, i do however eat fruit and veg on...

I have the same problem, except not just around that area. Although I haven't spoken to a dermatologist about it, I have done research and to me it sounds like psoriasis, which is very similar to eczema. One thing that really helps me it a product called DERMAREST. It's kinda expensive ( around $10 for a 4 ounce bottle ) but it really works well for me. But with psoriasis, a certain product may not work as well for one as it does for another. Your case isn't severe, and may not be psoriasis at all, but you can try different products and see what happens. Sadly, if it is psoriasis, there is no cure. It can be triggered by many factors: heredity, stress, weather- there are many different causes. I don't want to scare you by saying there is no cure, because your case isn't properly diagnosed and isn't severe, so you shouldn't worry too much. But if it starts spreading, you should get it checked out. It isn't dangerous and it isn't contagious, but if you're like me, it can be embarrassing, especially when you go out in public and have a couple flakes on your face. It has made me really self conscious, and I am always checking a mirror to make sure there are none on my face. But there are treatments available. I hope that helps out in some way! Good luck!!

Well, here is the advice from a girl; Exfoliation!!!!!
Don't use a moisturiser straight away, you need to clear up your skin 1st.
Find a "exfoliating grainy soap" to exfoliate your skin (sorry cannot advice you any as I use French products only) be careful with the one you choose as you're using it on your face (thinner skin)
You apply it all over your face as a mask, leave it a few minutes and then rub your face with a glove or one of those plastic shower ball.
Rinse your face with warm water and use a cleaning water (on a cotton ball) to get rid off the little impurities and close the pores.
Then you can use a moisturiser.
Have fun doing yourself a facial ;)

I don't think your problem is unusual. The flaking you're finding is probably from not rinsing thoroughly after washing your face; especially the flakes along the nostrils the soap residue is building up. Try washing and rinsing before you get your shower or bath and use a "buff puff" to exfoliate those areas and perhaps your whole face. Between your brows, same treatment. Afterward, use a non-greasy moisturiser. I would also recommend that you up your water intake to hydrate yourself and perhaps use a humidifier at night. Godloveya.

I've had this problem for a while also. Not to scare you but I finally saw a dermatologist and was diagnosed (on Friday) w/ Bowen disease/ squamous cell carcinoma. It's probably nothing more than very dry skin that a good moisturizer can fix but you should have it checked out, just to be sure. The doctor can give you some samples and recommend something also.

These spot are the acupressure points for nasal congestion and cold and sinus, front headaches and congestion...For me this is a sign of elimination, a sort of eczema. Detoxification process. I have it more in the winter then in the summer. If I can be consistent with Soothex or Oil of Oregano it diminishes it pretty well....Avoid stress and drink enough water. My advice to anyone with dried up or scaly skin is the simplest form of all. And that is, Vitamin E oil. Holland & Barrett stock this.
It is simple, it is inexpensive but it works. It is safe to use on your face and all over. If you do this regularly, you will not see a patch of dried skin anywhere else on your body. Having said that, you still have to go and have it checked out.
