This is a secret I learned from my grandma. Take about a pound of jasmine rice and cook it, you can get it really cheap at any grocery store. Take some plastic wrap and put the rice on it until it looks like it's large enough to cover your face. Make sure that the rice layer isn't too thick, don't want to waste it :P. Lay it on your face for about 5 minutes or so and it will basically "soak up" any toxins or "grease" on your face. It works great and got me through my highschool years. Best thing that I've ever used for acne!

The key to getting rid of acne is keeping the skin clean. Acne-prone skin is usually oily. It's important to wash the face with a cleanser suited for acne-prone skin. Then to use an astringent or toner. It's also important to use an oil free moisturizer, because some of the toners will dry the skin out too much.
Different things work for different people. Some people use items that have Benzoyl Peroxide in them, some use ones with Salycilic Acid in them, and some use items with Tea Tree Extract. When using Benzoyl Peroxide, be aware that it comes in different strengths, so I would start at lower levels before moving to higher (10%), as it may irritate your skin if you're not careful.
Personally, I've had acne for close to 20 years, and the items with Tea Tree was the way that I finally got my acne under control.
Good luck to ya!

its all hormones best thing to do is go on the pill to regulate so you dont get overdose of a hormone cant remember which way it goes but a decrease in estrogen or progesterone or testosterone has something to do with it too or increases not sure otherwise you will stress because not much out there is easy it gets repetitive trying to treat the out side when it comes from within just relax eat healthy towards the end of the month in the second half and enjoy life dont worry bout it whatever you do dont squezzzze its makes it worse and spreads the acne under the skin and they pop up everywhere else

Micro-Dermabrasion (Sandblasts several layers of your skin & leaves soft & smooth, exposing new layers of skin)
Roacatain (Oral tablet, quite harsh that has a 90% strike rate of success.Prescribed by Doctor. Expensive to & is 3 month treatment)

Sorry to say - but it's all based on the inside - ur hormones!! Which we cant really control ! My skin doctor always told me ....it takes time and to drink alot of water and of course eat well !! Don't buy all those acne products - they are really not good for ur skin - i had really bad skin too when i was young - now my skin is so clear , clean and beautiful ...only little scaring ! Good luck to you - trust me i understand how u feel - dont be embarrased - it happens to the BEST of us ;)

Proactiv is one way to do it but if money is an issue I would recommend trying Noxzema or Physoderm (this one has a couple of different formulations) that also come in a generic form when it comes to facial products.
I also found that taking a multi-vitamin has been helpful for my skin so that I very rarely get problems with acne.
My multi-vitamin is a prenatal vitamin that I bought over the counter. I get mine at Wal-Mart. I checked with my dr to find out if it's ok for a non-pregnant woman to take and she told me it was. Check with your dr to see if it's ok for you to do this if you decide you want to try it.
