I am 22 and this is the year I find my face the most irritating place on my body. Pimples still appearing at this age ? I bathed with Dettol soap, applied facial wash and those cream that claims to unclog the pores and cleanse it. Still, no results to prove that the pimples are going away. Theres this black spots around and some are noticable red on the forehead areas. It can be quite painful when I wear a cap.

I work in an air-conditioned area, so I don't think it's got to do with oily or dusty environment. Need some advice please.

I exfoliate once a day. I use creams, lotions, etc. Nothing seems to work. My pores are too big, and I have tons of whiteheads/blackheads. My skin is especially oily in the forehead, and moreso around the nose. PLease help, I'm sick of being a teen-ager in my 30's.

... okay, so what should i do now? do i apply a thin film over my face, then wash it off after a few minutes, or do i leave it on till it disappears? the instructions merely say 'apply evenly over clean face', if you need to know. thanks ((:

Does Vitamin E work for newly healed acne scars? or does it not do anything at all? or if anything does it make you get more pimples around where the oil touched your skin?

My question is regarding acne scaring and if neosporin works to reduce scaring even after the wound has healed.

I think my bellyring is infected again for the second time. The doctor i went to today said i am allergic to the metal in the ring (its stainless steel though) and refused to give me antibiotics. She said that i need to just take it out. Well its out now but what it looks like is red around the top hole and swollen..and i have had some pus come out not alot. It hurts a little if its bumped. Is that infected or allergic dermatitis? Should i put antibiotic cream or hydrocortisone? Are some people allergic to stainless steel? If i leave it out will i get a huge scar? It sounds so stupid but i am sad to get rid of it..i don't want to. How long can i leave it out before it closes? Can i give it a break overnight if i have only had the piercing for 6 weeks? I just don't know. I would really appreciate a response from someone who might have some answers for me who maybe has been in my shoes! Thanks so much!

I currently started breaking out. I have never had issues w/ pimples, but now that I have discontinued taking the birth control pill, I seem to be playing catch up w/ puberty - I started breaking out. To make matters worse, I get these hard lumps on my face. It doesn't have the whiteness you see in other pimples [which urges you to just pop the sucker], and it's usually not painful to touch. It's just plainly a bump that's slightly reddish/pinkish which later on turns into a dark spot on my face. Anyone have any idea what this may be? I am already using proactiv which helps w/ the white/black heads and I suppose it's minimized the amount of facial "visitors" I get, it's just these damn bumps that bothers me.

I've seen some people suddenly get a REALLY REALLY big pimple somewhere on their face. Well, not huge, but bigger than a regular pimple, say the size of a dime. It's just a round red bump, often painful to touch. Now it seems I've growing on of those too, just between my eye and my ear. It's just red right now, a bit painful and a bit of inflammation, but it looks like it's slooowly getting bigger.
Now what the hell do i do? How do I stop it's growth and how do I make it go away?

I don't use drugs, have been taking synthroid for hypothyroidism for 20 years, skin on rest of body is fine. My arms are covered with hypopigmented white scars from them. They go from my shoulders to my wrists, about 10 on each arm. I put lotions and creams on them but it doesn't help.

When I asked my doctor she gave me a topical lotion call clyndimycin and still no luck. It feels like sandpaper(only on 1 foot) I even bought athlete's feet spray. Is there anyone out there that has experienced this and overcame it. I am not saying it is okay in the winter but at least I can cover it until I get help. PLEASE I do not want to wear tennis shoes all next summer just because my foot looks like a snake shedding skin. It is really depressing the heck out of me. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and please only serious people that will try to help. Come on it is bad enough I don't want to try some kind of joke and my whole foot fall off. LOL Thanx!!!
