Okay, our teacher left us this reasearch assignment and I no matter how I search, I just can't seem to find the right answer. She's asking us what is the role of Colloids in kidney dialysis... Does anyone have any idea? If you know any resources, please tell me. Thanks a lot~!

It healed off center in a way that there is a protruding lump above my collar bone. instead of the bone being healed completely attached diameter to diameter; each part of the bone is off centered to the other part. This does not keep my arm or body from functioning, however my collar bone cannot be as strong as if it was correctly connected. sometimes this does cause me a minimal amount of pain and irritation.
my concern is i will soon have insurance. but if this is considered a cosmetic surgery, it may not be covered
thanks

I had a severe ear infection over Christmas weekend. The pain & pressure were unbearable. Was given antibiotics, Ibuprofin & Prednisone. Pain went away & finally felt pops in my ear rather than constant pressure.

Now my inner ear is clogged & i can't get it to unclog. I've tried yawning, chewing gum, decongestants only to just get popping. Can't hear & when I talk it sounds like I'm humming!

Only after I use a heating pad can I feel an inner tickle (like it's about to drain) but nothing.

I don't have a clogged ear due to wax....just an inner ear with left over mucus from my ear infection!

help....it's really annoying & I feel like I'll never get this ear unclogged!

attention or to manipulate adults. I've seen someone I knew that was anorexic one day and fine the next. Come on and admit girls, you're drama queens.

Hello, My father-in-law is suffering from blood in his phlegm and he has also bled quite considerably from the anus. He is in his late 70's and suffers from high blood pressure(which he refuses medication). He also likes to drink heavily(4 pints of Guinness and occasional chasers) when he has the money which is usually every Thursday. He used to be a medium smoker but gave up around 5-6 years ago. My mother-in-law thinks it could be pneumonia again as he has had that previously. Unfortunately he can be very stubborn concerning doctors so refuses to go and see his GP. Can you give me some possible causes or do you need more info?
Many Thanks.

I was taking it for back pain, but my stomach became very nervous and cramped at night. I was on vacation and did not eat as well as usual and was somewhat inert. After one week, I restarted 2400 mg ibuprofen but after 2 days I was cramping and developed constipation which I have had for one week. I started citrucel yesterday and feel somewhat better. I have been passing hard dry stool that floats since Monday (today is Friday). No bm on Tuesday. Also, I noticed a small lump under my left rib this week as well. My stomach felt very nervous and was near anxiety a few times over the last 2 weeks as well. That has since ceased ( could be the Christmas thing with family and the fear from my back problems). Back is better though. So, what do I have? Simple constipation(which I have not had since I was 12 and I am 33) and usually eat well but not in the last month? Is is medical? IBS? Help. God Bless you.
PS No pain in lump but I had brief shooting pains a there a few days ago. Not major.

Has the addition of T3 hormone helped anyone suffering from Hypothyroidism and how did you find a doctor willing to perscribe it? Have you had success with just Levothyroxine or is Armour Thyroid or the addition of Cytomel helped anyone? Thank you!

I never get a great night's sleep. when I wake up in the morning, it's like coming back from the dead. It's absolutely the worst feeling to have to get out of bed. I sort of feel like I've been swimming for 10 miles, and when I wake up, I'm being expected to swim another 10 miles.

Many nights, I get startled out of my sleep. I'll hear someone say my name really loud. Not dream loud, but REAL loud. And it wakes me up with a scare.

Yesterday I was sleeping in my car, and I had a dream that I was just standing there and I dropped to the ground. I was dizzy, I didn't have the strength to do anything but roll around. Then someone said "Hey James...". I woke up and thought someone had recognized me so I went to take my hat off my face, except I couldn't get my hands up to my face to take it off. I was so weak! Suddenly I realized wasn't breathing and I took a huge gasp of air. Then my arms started tingling and the strength returned.

I also have had a problem with snoring.

I informed her that meditating for 1 hr once a day would help her as well. Anyone know of any good ideas or treatments she can try? Someone help her!!!!!!

My sister has a terrible case of psoriatic arthritis, and it appears to be taking over her body. She is terribly itchy, and her joints are beginning to creak, and she is only 18! She is very embarassed by the rash, and the physical symptoms are a bother to her, and I hate to see her going through this. Her dermatologist has recommended a shot that she has to give herself weekly, but insurance is taking months to approve this, and I have heard this can cause acute kidney failure. What can she do until this is approved? And does anyone know of better options?
