Treatment is unlikely as the person has already been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, has already undergone chemo for this, which resulted in a reduction of the size of the tumour but was told before that it was incurable (the treatment was done to extend life expectancy not to cure the cancer) and no further chemo can be undertaken for at least another 4 months. It now appears (although as yet undiagnosed -but conditions indicate) that it has also infected the brain - so was wondering how long the end will be in coming if this cancer is untreated?

if anyone else may give feedback on this. She had a bad infection and they removed lymph nodes, i'm packing the wound for her everyday and sh's on antibiotics. What is the longest time you may know of someone who was battling this horribly awful torture. She is handling it better than me and never really complains. I guess as I sit here and cry, I just need to talk to someone. She is a good friend and this hurts. this is her 3 rd year. Thanks for reading and answering, any and all advice greatly appreciated.

The hospital is 70 miles away & she plans to drive herself to the hospital, begin the radical chemotherapy for 5 days (inpatient) & then family will go get her. It seems weird that she will be 'alone' (no family) for that length of time. I don't know anyone who has had radical chemo, so ...

I have missed 4 years of school and don't know what to do. it's sort of complicated...my grandma died when I was 11.....i was in denial over it. plus my mum woudn't let me go to her funeral/grieve as she never liked my Grandma.....I couldn't cope as I was sort of waiting for her to come back.... i missed 4 years of school......i refused to go to school on-and off fr 3 years because my life was so unbearable, i was severely depressed...and sometimes just couldn't find the will power to get up in the mornings. it was awful....i felt so low.
i was also school phobic.....but no-one ever got me any medical help.
anyway I missed 4 years of school and got G grades in my GCSE exams(apart from in English)
my mum's now got cancer and is dyng from it. the whole family blame me...and they really do believe this. also...when i stopped going to school.....so did my sister...she now has no GCSEs and as severe OCD/won't go out of the house and my whole family blame me. they all blame me because of everything that's happened. also.... my dad has a brother /mt uncle in Germany...but he won't tell him abut me not going to school...WHY? why , maybe my family could have helped/could still help me.
Is all this my fault?
is it my fault my mum has cancer?
Is it my fault at what has happened to my sister?
if s isn't then how can I stop them from blaming me......because they make my life hell every day.
But is it my fault though?

So....There's a possibility that I have Leukemia, but I'm not sure yet. Only the doctor, myself, and my sister know. I'm making arrangements to get a Bone Marrow Biopsy, and should find out 6 weeks after that whether or not I have it. My question: If you were me, would you tell your parents? I don't want to say anything b/c I don't want them stressed out for nothing, and I want to wait until I know for sure. My sister thinks I should tell them "so they can prepare." Prepare for what? Anyway...would you tell, or keep your mouth shut?

In these days of NHS cutbacks is it right that artificial means of having children should use up funds that could go towards drugs that improve the outlook for cancer sufferers.
