There has been some lengthly discussion and unless I missed it, I do not read anything about why plain salt and not ALL iodized salt is being produced for consumption in the U S of A. It is known to prevent goiter by iodizing salt and is not more costly at the grocery. The worldwide project of Kiwanis International is to eradicate goiter in the world by adding salt to everyones salt.
