I'm interested in herbs, and I've read up on them a good deal. Recently, I've made an herbal toner using rosemary, elderflowers, nasturtium, lavender, and myrtle. It works, I think, but I'm not sure on one thing - I know that the point is to get soft skin, but is it supposed to be velvety-smooth or slippery-smooth? Also, are there any other herbs that might work well with oily skin? (My problem being that I inherited large pores from my parents, and while I do know that I can't exactly "shrink" them, I'd like to try to make them less obvious without using too much makeup)

Just curious if anyone out there has been successful with using flushes. I am thinking about doing the Apple Juice/Olive Oil one.

I have been interested in ear candling for years but wondered if it’s only purpose was to remove wax? Are there any other health benefits? I sleep with ear plugs every night and if anything I have a reduction in ear wax from wearing them. I’m further confused because I imagine ear wax is like mucous - it serves a purpose to keep bacteria from getting in and the removal of it could leave you prone to infections. Thanks in advance for your insight!

I would like to know if anyone has had good results with disease or illness by seeing an alternative health care practitioner. Did homeopathy and nutrition help you? Did any alternative modalities bring you relief from chronic symptoms?

I want to put my best friend to sleep...is there a way to do that without her knowing that won't harm her in anyway. Just want to take some photos of her asleep and she wont let me. I need something that will buy me an hour or so.

I'm just curious, what your opinion regarding the following types of medicine?

Allopathy/osteopathy (Just to be clear, this is what the vast majority of doctors practice; science based medicine)

Chiropractic

Homeopathy

Naturopathy

Traditional Chinese Medicine (includes acupuncture)

Faith Healing (what the hell, may as well include this)

free would be a bonus but I don't mind paying for a good quality service. I am guessing at counselling but if anyone knows of a healer of some kind who can deal with something unusual that would be useful. chat or email or phone would be ok.
