The white light or "Fluorescent lights" flash on and off, just beyond what our eyes can see, or 60 flashes per second. The light is un-natural and un-healthy.
The ballast that provides the light electricity emits Electro-Magnetic waves that also effects the human body in harmful ways.
So, I would stay away from "Fluorescent Lights" whenever possible.

Flourescent lighting also affects people with Lupus and can trigger migraine headaches. Sounds to me you may be in the migraine category and not know it. By the way, you can have a migraine without the headache; my eye surgeon had to prove it to me. Try low watt or soft light, etc., until you find a light bulb that works for you... or just stick to the orange; it sounds nice!

Did you know that in colour therapy, the colour orange helps us to experience feelings of happiness, joy and spontaneity. The harsh white light from fluorescent lightbulbs is incompatible with the vibrations of our bodies and can cause us to feel nervous, anxious and thoroughly unpleasant. Keep using the orange light!

seems that is apparent, but it isn't the light, it is your mind. What are you hiding from yourself that you don't want to look at?
