Can you explain why one tiny dose of something can be enough? I can't work out exactly how it works for treating behavioural problems.

I am going thru a divorce and I do know my ex has an injured knee that needs to be replaced . But, he has always told half truths to me and I am clueless. He is on liquid Methadone prescribed by his Dr. , could there be another reason why? Like maybe he was once addicted to vicodin?

My limited research, follows the historic record of Ulcers, that were long considered to be caused by 'psychosomatic origins'..finally a bacteria was found to be its cause.

Now Crohns, a bacterial cause has been found.

So these 'bacteria' are not that easy to be found, ie parasites.

The symptoms that they can cause, either by corrupting the intestinal processing system, by infection or by its toxins, can cause mental symptoms, can cause malabsorption problems that can casue cancer, or may cause intestinal symptoms we call disease, ie IBS, or Crohns.

The problem is that our current science is more focused on a narrow treatment of symptoms and not the true underlying cause that may have a spectrum of disorders or symptoms.

Seems the profit in pharmaceutical drugs, that treat symptoms may be a problem of focus.

So be careful the simple solution to a variety of symptoms, we call diseases, ie cancer, ibs, crohns...may be 'parasites'.

Good news the treatment is simple.

I have been diagnosed with GERD, the start of Barrett's esophagus and hiatal hernia. The prompton drugs, h2 inhibitor drugs, or antacids are just not working for me. So I just bought this orange peel extract 1000 mg by Enzamatic Therapy. Would like to know if anyone else has ever tried this for this reason, or heartburn itself and does it work??? I just get pain in the hiatal hernia area when Im trying to sleep, have to burp alot, and only get heartburn with it once in awhile. Its not like I am overweight or out of shape or anything. I would just like some other peoples input on this new discovery of Orange Peel Extract for Heartburn.

I'm supposed to be taking risperdal and lexapro, but I don't want to. I was hospitalized in January for manic depression and they think I need to be on meds forever. Everyone else says I seem to be improving, and I haven't been taking any. I was wondering, am I legally allowed to refuse what is perscribed? Or, as a minor, do my parents get to decide? I am fifteen and I don't want to be on serious meds anymore. I need to know whats legal.
