A low blood cell count can reflect two conditions, one is the lack of iron, or a more serious condition that could involve the bone marrow, internal bleeding or even toxicities from various chemicals such as lead. It requires an evaluation to assign a cause so that the treatment is effective. Knowing only that your blood cell count is low reflects northing other than your blood has few cells than average. There are many physiological factors involved here, but I recognize that money (lack of health insurance or cash) might influence the care or lack of care, you should try to eat lots of green leafy vegetable and meats such as liver and beef. But if possible, I would try to see a physician for a real diagnosis of the cause. Many answers you will recieve are at best palliative and even cursory...but you should seek definition.

I am not a doctor or nurse but i do know that the white blood cells are used as fighters in the body they attack the infectious cells and by doing that they can weaken or deplete. Have you been sick lately? Fever is an indication of infection. I don't know if or how fast the white blood cells return to their normal count.

Excercise, excercise, excercise - get that body moving.

Cycling is great for improving the white blood cells and the bodies immune system.

My wife had a low immune system and white blood cell count following chemotherapy. While she was recovering in hospital the nurses gave her an excercise bike, to speed up the process!

if it's red blood cells you're low on (which it probably is), take iron, the easiest way is to just take iron supplements. You can get these in health shops like Holland & Barrett.

take good quality supplements- multivitamin&minerals, iron tablets. eat food than can increase blood cells ie. red meat, liver, etc. but all that depends on the cause of ur low level of blood cells and the type of cells that low.
