My daughter is telling me there is a child's toy that she wants for Xmas that is a poodle that "grows" after 2 weeks. Does anyone know the name of this toy? When I type in the words toy and poodle, of course I get sites selling real dogs.

So many of the toys are the same! I have a theory:

I think that they make these because they know that the parents will buy them simply out of nostalgia! I've seen this happen with my own friend who has a little girl. I've been with her in the toy isle, and the kid will want one toy, but my friend will buy her one of the toys that she had when she was a kid instead!

Is there some place on line where all of them have been listed from the onset of this hype until now?

All my sons toys are freak'n made in China... I think iam going to have to take them all away.

How do we know that the ones that havent been listed are safe? Maybe they just havent been tested or listed YET.

Beyond that, what toy companies actually make infant toys in the US? Are there really any? I havent found any...

Stupid freaking chinese. Hacking our defense computers and poisoning our children, theyre probably trying to weaken us for an invasion.. jeez.

I'm a 12 year old girl and I already have a lot of stuff, I have a flat screen tv in my room with cable and dvr and a flat screen computer and a pink laptop, a pink DS lite, a wii and ps3 with lots of games and ddr with the mats, TONS of makeup, a razr and a sidekick, and an Ipod video with a pink aloha cover. I also get american girl magazine and pony club packages every month. What should I ask for? Don't say I'm spoiled because I paid for a ton of that stuff myself. I do a lot of chores around the house and neighborhood and I got some of it off ebay. But my parents did get me the tv and the computers, but a lot of kids have those. Maybe a movie? Or should I ask for something else?

I don't understand how this can be very popular, because, I think (maybe I'm wrong), that frogs are most popular among males. And yet, the pink/red hearts all over most definitely make it feminine. And yet it's still not really feminine, because it's still a frog! So who would buy it? Who will it appeal to?

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with liking it. I'm just a bit skeptical that it will sell very well.

What do you think?

My Dad gave me some $$ to buy my niece a combined birthday and Christmas present. She is into Barbies. I'm just not sure what is going on with Barbies these days. She is into soccer, so, I'm going to look for a Soccer Barbie. Does anyone know of any Barbies that are both fun and could have a positive message for a young girl? I'm also not opposed to getting her a fun and educational gift to go alongside some Barbie stuff.
