What if someone was playing at a WPT final table or a WSOP televised event and didn't want to show their hole cards to the camera? Please only answer if you have concrete information to share.

It's not as silly a question as it sounds because I'm sure there are plenty of players who aren't exactly thrilled about exposing their poker strategies and tactics to anyone who might be watching (i.e. future opponents) by revealing what they have in the hole.

I understand the concept of the pot odds (i.e. 1-9 outs*4 for the turn and 1-9*4/2 for the river.

I was reading about measuring the percentage of pot odds vs the percentage of putting money into the pot. I am still confused with this concept.
For example of the pot is $100. And you have to put in $50 into the pot. Then it is 2-1 for your money. If the pot is $100 and you have to put in $10-then it is 10-1 for your money. Isnt the 10-1 a better deal because it is a cheaper call?
The example I read basically stated something to the effect that the the chance of hitting your cards after the flop was 37.5 percent and the pot was a 35.5 percent so it was not worth calling.

I know my question is a bit confusing-but this is the best I can do to explain it.

I just got paid today. The normal routine is pay the most important bills and go blow the rest at the horse race track. When I don't go I get headaches, and I start to sweat and I become a complete assh0le. Not even sex from my girlfriend can pleasure me as much as a big $1000 win at the race track. How do you stop yourself from going when you've been doing this routine for 7 years straight? What are the magic words? How do you get to the point where you can finally say "This time I'm not lying to myself, I am going to quit"?
