This lottery winning e-mail gives me contact info for the lottery promoters (supposed to be accredited), contact info for the bank that does their payouts, complete with ph# and fax# and e-mail. How can I tell if this is legit? All contacts are in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The game is called "Best Hand, Best Spade". You have to have the highest hand plus the highest spade to win. It is five card draw, nothing wild.

Player 1 gets two aces (diamond and heart) with a king of spades as the third card. Player 2 gets two aces (club and spade).

Which hand wins?

Could someone explain why the pot is sometimes split into side pots? I've noticed it a few times while playing on partpoker.com (For example, at the end of a hand the dealer might say "John receives $30 from Side Pot #1, Frank receives $70 from the Main Pot")
