Will you be less likely to visit an amusement park or ride a thrill ride this Fourth of July holiday? Personally I like to live dangerously, but how do you feel about it? Some poor girl in Ohio lost both her feet on a free fall ride, a twenty year old girl died in NY on the "Brain Scrambler" and a child was knocked unconscious on a tea cup ride in Florida... Do you still wanna go?

My friend told my wife and I about the free passes that you receive if you are in the military, well we would like to take advantage of that, but cannot find the website to go through, we have been to seaworld.com and anheiserbusch.com, we have done searches and everything. For those who were wondering, an update has been issued regarding the yourng girl who was injured in an accident on the Tower of Power ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom.

Kaitlyn Lassiter, age 13, was listed in stable condition at a Nashville, TN hospital following the accident that resulted in the traumatic amputation of both her feet when a cable snapped on the Tower of Power ride. The family of Kaitlyn has declined to say whether her feet were successfully reattached. A hospital spokeperson declined further comment, again citing patient confidentiality. The family has instructed the hospital not to comment further on the incident.

The family stated that no one from the park has contacted them since the accident regarding the girl's condition. However, a spokesperson from the Six Flags Corporation in New York stated that two officials accompanied the family to the hospital immediately following the accident and stayed until they were asked by family to leave.

Anyone know if Paramount is still licensing their movie and tv stuff to the new park owner. It would be nice if the parks still have workers dress as Star Trek charcaters, and kids TV show charcaters. Also having movie posters displayed around the park, and a gift shop selling things tied to Paramount movie and TV shows. So what is the offical news on that, and if they are licensing it to the new owner, how long will that be ?

I know a 13 year old girl was on a roller coaster (not a normal one...i think it was the kind that repeadatly goes straight up and down) a wire snapped and her feet got cut off! I love roller coasters but just thinking this would happen makes me not want to go on one again, at least not that kind. At my local six flags there are two like that and my friend really wants to go on them when we go and I don't know because of that. The'yre V2 and Deja Vu what would you tell me about this. And yes I'll still go on the normal roller coasters.
