Well, from what I hear, you can't beat Cedar Point. It has the most coasters in the world, the 2nd tallest and fastest coaster, and many other rides for non-coaster fans. I've heard mixed reviews about the service, but overall they've been bad. One great thing about Cedar Point is that it's built on a peninsula into Lake Erie, absolutely beautiful, with white sand beaches and the like. It has 2 water parks, and another park for mini-golf and go-karting (extra admission). It's actually not extremely expensive, only about $35 dollars, which is only $5 more than Six Flags Great Adventure or Dorney Park. Back to coasters, they have: Maverick, an intense western-themed ride new for 2007; Top Thrill Dragster, an Intamin rocket coaster that reaches speeds of 120 mph and heights of 420 ft; Millenium Force, the worlds first coaster to break 300 ft, which has constantly been voted as the 1st or 2nd best coaster on Earth; Mantis, an extreme stand-up coaster; Mean Streak, a rough woodie; Gemini, a steel and wood hybrid racer; Blue Streak, a vintage wooden coaster; Magnum XL-200, an airtime giant that broke the 200 ft mark first; Raptor, one of the best inverted coaster in the world; Wicked Twister, the world's fastest and tallest double-twisting impulse coaster, at over 200 ft; and finally Corkscrew, the first coaster in the world to invert thrice, and 2nd vertical looping coaster in the world, opening 8 days after Revoultion at Six Flags Magic Mountain. For more info on Cedar Point, www.cedarpoint.com . Another great park I know of is Six Flags Great Adventure, with more rides than any other park in the world, along with the tallest and fastest coaster, Kingda Ka, and a flash pass system that can shorten lines to nil (another admission in price, but highly recommended). Also, there's Six Flags Magic Mountain, which is supposed to have good coasters (including X, the world's first multi-dimension coaster), but otherwise sucks. So if you're looking for a great theme park experience, a multiple-day stay at Cedar Point probably can't be beat.

Cedar Point is universally probably known to be the best roller coaster park in the world. However, Six Flags Magic Mountain would probably be a very close rival. Here's why.
Cedar Point has the most coasters of any park at 17, but SFMM has 16 (15 currently operating).
Cedar Point's coasters include
Top Thrill Dragster (over 400 ft) - quick ride
Millenium Force and Magnum XL200 - two classic out and back mega coasters with great float time
Raptor - a good inverted coaster
Wicket Twister - a great ride like Deja Vu at SFMM
Blue Streak - a good solid woodie
Plus many other great ones including a standup coaster, an indoor coaster, and various other ones to keep you busy!
At SFMM, you've got
Riddler's Revenge, the best standup coaster in the world.
Ninja - one of the best suspended coasters in the world
X - a unique and excellent coaster
Tatsu - a great flying coaster
Colossus - one of the most recognizable formerly racing coasters in the word
Batman - another standard inverted coaster
Viper - a nice seven inversion coaster
Revolution - a classic looping coaster
Goliath - a great mega coaster
Scream! - a fairly new floorless coaster
Deja Vu - a great launch coaster like Wicked Twister @ CP
Plus several others there as well.
So for quantity, it's Cedar Point.
For three of current top 10 coasters, it's Cedar Point as well due to Millenium Force, Magnum, and Top Thrill.
But for variety and some of the industry's best in class, it's Magic Mountain.
Hope that helps!!

I am hoping to go to Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ. Its got the worlds fastest and tallest coaster at 135mph and I think about 450ft tall. And the 2nd tallest wooden coaster in the world. But its a 5 hour drive there from where I live.

okay...very easy...CEDAR POINT! 17 coasters is the most in the world. most of these are huge coasters that have broken records when they were made. many of these have shorter lines now because there are SO many popular coasters. dragster, millenium, raptor, wicked twister, maverick, corkscrew, mean streak, blue streak, mantis, gemini, magnum, iron dragon, wildcat, and that is not all of them. they also have amazing thrill rides. great food. this is a roller coaster fan's heaven. the atmosphere is perfect and its in OHIO, right on the lake. there have not been any recorded accidents at this park too. it is an AMAZING PLACE! and you should go.
cedar point, america's rockin' roller coast.

Six Flags Magic Mountain. It's best when you go during the week day because there are shorter lines and you can go on all the rides about 10 times each. I did that once.

Well I personally say Six Flags, but I heard Cedar Point is fun to. At Six Flags they have extreme rides like raging bull, iron wolf, and more.
