Yes, to the best of my knowledge, but her feet were severed at the ankles, so she was VERY seriously injured. I hope they can reattach them, but that remains up to the surgical team. I hope she lucks out in that respect.

Just so everyone is clued in, because some of you are clueless, and Evan is a complete (expletive), one freak accident does not mean a park should be shut down.
She was riding the Super Man free fall ride at the park. When the car got to the top of the tower the cable snapped. The car then released and as the car came back the cable snapped again, and swung around, striking the 13 year old girl just above the ankles.
As people ran into the loading area to gather their various family members they came across the girl who was apparently not in pain (probably the adrenaline and endorphins of shock helping her with that. Witnesses also stated there was no blood meaning her arteries had closed up, or they were cauterized by the heated up cable.
She was rushed to the hospital and into surgery but due to privacy laws the hospital has not released any information.
Six Flags has shut down all of this type of Intamin designed fre fall rides that it owns. Cedar Fair shut down the ones they own at Kings Island, Great America, Carowinds, King's Dominion and Canada's Wonderland.
Millions of people have ridden these rides without incident. Truly Intamin cannot be blamed, this is probably the result of either a freak accident or poor park inspection and maintenance.
I doubt they will be able to reattach her feet which is sad, but since they were sheared off directly above the ankle the doctors should have enough residual limb to make a good stump to accept prosthetics. She can look to the examples of Amiee Mullins, Shea Cowart and Jaime Goldman who are all double below knee amputees who have led very productive and successful lives.
As of this posting no news article says that she has met her demise.

i'd basically permit my 13 year previous flow if there have been adults on the park. meaning examine in situations. i could no longer think of letting my daughter run around for 8 hours without seeing her as quickly as to make confident each little thing is okay. Plus i does no longer experience tender together with her being there on my own. no longer basically are you able to be abducted yet you would be robbed. there's a ton of issues that may flow incorrect. i'd have not have been given any concern letting my 13 year previous run around the park with 4 of her friends if i grow to be there together with her. i'd permit her have her area yet i'd have her text textile me each hour to permit me be responsive to she's ok and we'd meet for lunch 0.5 way with the aid of. possibly see in case you will get somebody older, older sister possibly to flow with you adult males.

Yes; she underwent surgery. CNN reports that Six Flags employees found the feet (talk about a gruesome job...) and sent them to the hospital. Whether or not they could be reattached, I have not yet heard.

i think she still is but there is no exact info on her accident, but i don't think that you can die from getting your legs cut off, but she will definitely be spending a lot of time in recovery and maybe a few surgeries
i'll keep praying!!!!!

I have not seen any articles saying she died. I'm sure that story would top Yahoo's news page if she had.
