I have some huge gourds, all dried. One I am going to make a bird house out of, it is one of the long ones with a round bottom. Should I varnish, shellac it, or weather proof it in some way before hanging it? I have one shaped like a pear that I will make a bird feeder out of. The other is an apple gourd, any suggestions on what I can do with it for outside decoration?

is actually an egg painted with smiley face on the outside shell, suppose to crack the top part of the shell, where inside is fill with mud, u need to water it for a plant to grow out, where u can find some nice wording on the leaves , such as 'i miss u' or ' i love u'.. heard can get it from Hong Kong.

A special thank you to Taiping for telling me not to clean my coins. I listed my first auctions and it seems one of the pennies is a good one although to me it looks like crap because it is dirty. Current bid is $72.90 with 7 people watching it, and it still has over 4 1/2 days to go.
