How to do fitting for bustles(french also).?

I am aprofessional seamstress. Have altered many a gown in past. Need help desperately fitting bustles asap. Please I am desperate.

I'm not sure what you mean by fitting. You just need to decide how many points to have, depending on the length of the train, to hold it up and out of the way.
