B'coz half of the Machinery to change the pins is fitted in the cieling. If the cieling is high, then the length of the Machinery would also increase & it wouldn't be so cost friendly. Other than that the machinery would take more time to do the tsk of arranging & changing pins, which isn't user friendly. Therefore, the cielings in bowling alleys slant down toward the end of the lane.
