A special thank you to Taiping for telling me not to clean my coins. I listed my first auctions and it seems one of the pennies is a good one although to me it looks like crap because it is dirty. Current bid is $72.90 with 7 people watching it, and it still has over 4 1/2 days to go.

Any tips from collectors is needed and welcome.

Lets talk coin storage, 2 X 2 Mylars are the cheapest and if you use canned air to get rid of the excess paper dust, they are good for short to long time storage, just be careful when stapling them shut and opening the back up. The best item to use is the 2 X 2 safety flips, one side is for the coin the other is for an insert that you can write on. There is also a round item called a kointain that is archival and they claim is air tight, since museums use them, I guess that must be true. I am just not to crazy that they are round, kind of hard to store. Coins slabbed by the grading companies are sonically sealed but not air tight.
As for coins wanted it is usually the key dates of a series as well as the semi keys. Put a 1914-D cent out there and watch the bidding go nuts, especially in a nice very fine with no damage or marks. I have completed most of the U.S. sets and so have a lot of other people, so nice looking ancients as well as some of the rarer world coins sell well also. Us advanced coin collectors and numismatist will always go for a nice coin, medal or token, for we have the bug and must collect something. We are also always upgrading. Glad you are doing well, be honest with your customers and you can go a long way. I do well for I try to know more about the items I want, than the dealer does, that way over the years I have got some very rare varieties of a coin for the common price.
