I received the game "Lost Cities" for Christmas and do not understand the instructions of how to get started, etc. Can someone give me plain instructions?

My 6 year old daughter received quite a few games for Christmas,which all need batteries.She wanted to know what is inside a battery,to make them work,and i was unable to answer her.
So can you guys and gals,give me a simple answer for my daughter please.

can't play my FAR CRY even when i've mounted it and used the safeDisc hider....it keeps showin a blank screen for a sec like its gonna run and then sayin there's no disc inserted please insert dvd rom. i gat all the video cards.

When it comes to the evening or spending a day at home I get so bored. I've tried knitting, but I don't know how to do it and I was going to play with a gameboy advance but that died on me.
