Let me be more specific...
Im looking for a class that is completely dependent on their pets...
Hunters are better at ranged weapons and warlocks are better at DoTs...
I need a class that has hardly any fighting power of it own, but instead they have a pet that does all the fighting for them

Most current MMO's have some kind of class that lets you summon and/or tame creatures. In World of Warcraft, Hunters and Warlocks are the most popular professions for that purpose. In Everquest 2, you might find a Conjurer to your liking, particularly if you buy the new Echoes of Faydwer expansion, which features an awesome new race called the Fae.
Anarchy Online and City of Heroes/City of Villains both feature pet classes, although the pets aren't the kind you would see in other MMO's. In the CIty games, they are Ninjas or other similar humanoid companions; in Anarchy Online, they can be robots you construct, or some interesting and odd creatures from the planet of Rubi-Ka. Star Wars Galaxies used to have a creature handler profession, but alas, it was eliminated.
It's difficult not to recommend World of Warcraft, which is consistently high in quality and a lot of fun to play. However, Guild Wars is also fun to play, has no monthly fee, and its Ranger profession allows you tame a good variety of wild animals. Either choice will get you plenty of mileage.

If you decide to go with WoW,play a Beast Mastery Hunter or a Demonologist Warlock. Both these specilizations very simply make your pet a larger part of the battle. They make you dependant on your pet. If your pet/minion is not active, you lose alot of buffs and power like 'Demonic Knowledge' and 'Ferocious Inspiration'.
In PvE,these specs make your pet responsible for tanking and DPS. In PvP,players often avoid attacking the pet if the player the pet belongs to is in sight,so again you assist your pet to give it free hits. Felguards and Beasts hit hard.
How dependant do you want to be on your pet? In PvE,if your pet dies, you die. In PvP,if you specilize this way, your job is to *stay alive* so your pet that's ripping through the enemy doesn't despawn, and the enemy player focuses on you. :-) Anyway, here are differences between Hunters and Warlocks. :P One of them at least sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
Hunters have one pet for all purposes and can choose from almost any 'Beast' in the game to use as their pet.
Warlocks summon a different pet for each situation;Imp for group buffs,Voidwalker for tanking and shielding,Succubus for utilities and higher DPS,and the Felguard @ level 50 for the ultimate controllable demon for pure power if you have specced Demonologist.
You should note,Warlocks are not overpowered,at anything. They are actually the 2nd least played class, possibly because they're not anyone's first choice due to their evilness.
Hunters are commonly played because they are great 'farmers',and can use heavy equipment.
Anyway, every game probably has pets, but WoW has 2 pet classes out of 9 total classes, each one with 3 specilizations and 1 specilization devoted to pets or minions. They don't have dud classes, either. All classes are completely unique, and you choose a different 'race' for slight variations.
If you want an MMO but not an RPG,then Neopets is an awesome choice. If you want an RPG but not an MMO,'Fate' is the same way.
PS. Lol @ the guy who said Hunters and Warlocks are "popular proffesions",and because they both use pets.
Edit:Emphasis on pet dependancy.

World of Warcraft has a hunter class, but you pay 13-15 bucks monthly, and there's a lot more to it than pets.
Neopets is a good pet game, but it's a bit childish and not an RPG. It's free, though (neopets.com)

You could also try being the pet and be a druid on WoW.
But, warlocks and hunters are cool.

I have played City of Villains, and you can play as a mastermind, which contains almost all pets, you can control them and send them in battle, upgrade them and other cool stuff. You can choose between ninjas, zombies, thugs, mercenaries, and robots. Also on city of heroes, if you choose your type as a controller, you get one nice pet as your last power.
