i have a ps2 and the games play perfectly. i tried three of my brother's ps1 games, and all of them wouldn't play properly. first game i tried displayed the ps1 logo was in the background as the game loaded properly and the screen was flashing heavily. with the second game i tried, it flashed a little... stopped... then it kept flashing again when i started playing a stage. with the last game i tried my ps2 made strange scratchy noises and could not read the disc at all. his discs look fine... a little scuffle from normal wear & tear, but i don't believe it's because the discs are defective. could it be that my ps2 refuses to read ps1 games??

Ok, so I'm trying to install the sims 2 and I get this message "A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'E:\TSData\Res\UserData\Storytelling\thumbnail_edae8d77_adb0f3ed.jpg' from the media." then it asks if I want to rety to copy the file, so I hit reply and it pops up again, no matter how much I press retry it keeps popping up so I have to cancel installation. This happens when the installation is about 98% finished. Argh! This is frustrating! How do I make it so that it will FULLY instal?
