My nieces just purchased a madcatz universal beatpad for their PS2. However, the unit seems to have locked up

We have already returned one unit. Even after plugging in a new unit, the new unit does not appear to function. However, the hand held units work fine. Doesanyone in cyberspace have any idea as to what could be causing this?

this is common in madcatz controlls. they down right suck. any way the buttons are more sensitive than necicarry so this happens quite often.

try the unit on another PS@ and see, if it works on the 2nd ps2 the its the console if it doesnt work on the 2nd ps2 then its the pad but idk.....try that
