Some people do so for fun. Others do so because they have had their personal beliefs offended. Still others claim that they do so because they want to make this site a better, safer place.

Generally, whenever someone violates the Terms of Service, they should have every expectation that someone will report them.

If you see someone making an offensive or insulting statement or question, and you check their account data, you can tell if they have been deleted before.
