I've never won any money myself on a slot machine, but I have won 80 dollars playing video poker.
But on the other hand, when I was 11 years old my mother and I were traveling cross country and stopped for gas in Reno,NV.
On a fluke she played a nickel slot machine and won $200 ! It was great, there was no appeal to stay and play longer and we had money to stay in a nice ( relatively ) hotel that night!
