It makes me so angry just thinking about it. HFCS is such a horrible horrible chemical. It causes obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and a whole plethora of health risks. The US is the only place in the world that uses HFCS in almost everything.
According to Wikipedia, "The average American consumed approximately 19.2kg of HFCS versus 20kg of sugar in 2004."
But forget about all that, let's be real. HFCS is nasty as hell. If anyone has ever had some real Soda sweetened with cane sugar, you'll know how much better it tastes. I mean, doesn't it make you mad that they use this nasty stuff over cane sugar? I just can't understand why. I know it's cheaper, but that's not a good reason to me.
I know there are worse things in our foods but those are hardly noticable and just for whiny enviromnetalist type people to cry about. Corn syrup is something that in all of our drinks, snacks, whatever. If you drink Coke, Pepsi, whatever you are consuming a large amount of this stuff.
