Use less liquids, like milk, juice or water. Use more solid stuff like yogurt, frozen strawberries or fruit, and ice.

Did you try frozen strawberries and more ice? Also I put fat-free yogurt in mine too. The thickness is always just like Jamba Juice, I just come off on the sweetness. Too, you may need to add some kind of a protein additive.

Here is the best in the world recipe for a strawberry smoothie. I guarantee it - and it is the best for U. First, you have to freeze the strawberries until they are solid little rocks. Then put them in the blender with some orange juice. That is it!!!! Lo-cal and awsome. If you want to mix it up a bit, put in some frozen papaya or blackberries or whatever....

I have used strawberry yogurt with ice cream. A banana would also help.

Actually, every smoothie I've ever had has had yogurt in it. Did you put plain yogurt in with your ice-cream and strawberries?

Start off with less liquid (eg if you use 1 cup milk, use half cup instead), add strawberries, a banana and icecream.
