Go buy groceries. You can make lots of meals on a tight budget, and it'll probably be way more healthy and nutritious than anything you can buy in a store.
Just stay away from food that will go off in a few days (like mushrooms and bananas) unless you're going to cook it right away. Go with stuff that will last a while, like apples, and carrots. If money is tight, you don't want to throw anything away.
Don't forget to freeze leftovers. You might not want to eat spagetti bolognese three days in a row, but spagbog every third day won't be so bad if there's variety.
Don't spend your money on sodas or chips or any junk food. If you want snacks, buy peanuts. NO EMPTY CALORIES! If you're eating less, then at least eat sensibly.
Good luck!

I don't know about the all-you-can-eat places. Maybe you can bulk up on food while you are there. But McDonalds is rather cheap. I her that they have a Berakfast combo of stuff like pie, chickenburger, etc. for $1 each.
You know something? In the foodstores, they have to throw food out because of the mandatory expiration date. So you can get free melons and stuff. You don't have to pick up the meat if you don't want, but there are lots of other things to pick up. Just find out where they throw it out. Lots of poor people do that. And the store people don't seem to be much bothered by it, knowing this. All the same, I wouldn't personally ask them for where they throw out the food.
To save money on foods, I wouldn't buy froxen stuff in the bags. They probably add cost for the labor in peeling, washing, and slicing those carrots and shrimp. Perhaps a bunch of fresh clams and oysters are good. The kind that you see on ice, of course.

Making your own meals is always cheaper than going out to eat in the long run, and is much healthier for you too. If you shop wisely at the grocery store (buying "real" food - actual potatoes, onions, frozen veggies, etc. - instead of prepackaged meals), you an really make your money go very far with the variety of things you can make. I even make my own pasta sauce - the ingredients cost about $5 (depending if you already have the spices) and it makes at least a gallon of sauce.

I'm not sure what you are trying to ask.
However, if you buy a week's grocery it works out cheaper than eating out everyday. Perhaps you could keep your receipts for eating out one week, add them up and compare to the amount you spend on one week's groceries.
Fruit is not too expensive and neither is pasta. Both are very filling and nutritious, so you could stock up on some pasta sauces and make your own, add veggies or tuna (canned which is also cheap), and have fruit later.
Save money for going out perhaps once a week with friends to a quality restaurant. Fast food is bad for you!!! And it will make you fat!!!
Consider your health as well.

I'm low on cash a lot. Oh -- and by the way = MCDONALDS IS NOT THAT CHEAP (unless you get a 99 cent thing) anymore. Go to the store on a daily basis instead of a weekly basis. Buy only what you need. Ramen noodles taste good!!!!

First stop going out to eat, not only is it unhealthy for you, but it is more expensive for you. Second, Oodles of Noodles!!! (or Top Ramen in the North) U can buy like ten of them for a dollar and go online to find different recipes for perparing them differently every day. This will help you for a little while until you get back on your feet
