I brew looseleaf tea a lot, I drink flavored and unflavored, black and green and red, etc. and a lot of the time I will get these weird oily slicks on the top of the tea...I can drink them no problem and they don't seem to have a taste, they just look weird. Does anyone know what this is? The only thing I noticed is that there is more oil in the cup nearer to the bottom of the pot...

Milk and other bio-drinks in freeze gets solid like ice. Cocacola Pepsi never get solid. What is the reason? It is said that these cold drinks have serious adverse effects on human reproductive activity. Is it right?

What does the shape of the Mento being round make it significant in the process of which it is dropped into the Diet Coke rather than a square Mento being dropped in?
I found something, but I am not sure

I was watching a news story on one of the cable news networks about the horrible new energy drink Cocaine. I heard from the commentators: how dare they call a drink that and it should be taken off the shelves. Then in the same commentator mentioned how when he was a kid all there was was Coke and Pepsi. I’m pretty sure that Coca-Cola was named for its original main 2 ingredients, the Coca plant from which Cocaine is derived and the Cola bean. I just thought it strange that a doctor’s argument over a publicity stunt was so hypocritical. Any thoughts?

I'm a junior in a Kentucky high school. Usually at lunch, we have a choice between 8 oz bottles of chocolate or white milk, or 20 oz bottles of Aquafina water. Today, however, the school informed us that because of a Federal law, they were no longer allowed to serve water in the free lunch program because it has no nutritional value. [It seems to me that since a majority of the human body consists of water, it would be rather important to keep it in our diets =S but i guess i don't know what i'm talking about!] I have friends that are lactose intolerant, so they had to go without anything to drink at lunch today. Then, after lunch was over, we were informed that those who could not drink milk for whatever reasons would have the opportunity to buy a water at lunch. Does anyone have any information about this? Is it a new law, or one that has simply been made stricter, to include even water? Thanks for any information you're able to give =)

In the UK cider is an alcoholic drink but I keep looking at recipes that involve using apple cider and I am sure this is not what they mean!

I am starting to drink green tea for the health benefits, but was wondering what is the best "version" of green tea. I want the most pure method, not the commercialized watered down version. So is it best to brew it with tea bags? Or is stuff like Arizona green tea just as good as other options?

Is it just me or does anyone else think Red Bull is disgusting? I can't stand the taste. The best energy drink in my opinion is Mountain Dew Amp.

Hi all...I'm an American married to a Brit for just over 4 years...we live in the UK and I am SICK of making cups of milky tea!! What is it about tea that keeps these darn Brits coming back for more...even when they are in 90 degree heat? "Boy, I'm hot...would you make me a cup of tea?" lol The thought of that makes me sweat!
Ok, so I like a cup of hot tea in the winter time...on a nice chilly morning...but I make my hubby darling 10 cups a day...and that's when he's home from work! lol

How much do YOU love tea??

Or a similar energy drink? Today an Associated Press story reports higher blood presssure, increased heart-beats, and other scary reactions to "kids" drinking several of these drinks or mixing them with vodka.
Evidently the combo of caffeine, sugar and taurine can be unhealthy. USA wants warnings on cans to limit drinks to over-18s and NOT mix them with alcohol.
Has anyone had bad experiences of these effects from drinking too many Red Bulls?
