No. You may aggravate a predilection toward diabetes drinking sugar-heavy drinks. Diabetes, for the most part, is a genetic/hereditary disease.

However, if you do continue to drink sugar-heavy drinks, such as Dr Pepper, sweetened tea, etc...;you'll gain weight.

Water is good for you. You can't get too much water...unless your breathing it.

Too much sugar of any kind is not good for a person! Sooner or later your body will pay the consequences of it....I only drink diet pop now...
But drinking water will NOT cause you to get diabetes!
You can't drink too much water, well you could but water is one of the best things for your body...Especially for dieters!

I drank one more Pepsi or soda an day for maybe 25 years,
At age of 57 my Dr. told I have diabetes,
he told not to drink any more soda for me, and drink more water

That can't be true. Look at how many recovering alcoholics there are. If all of them developed diabetes I'm sure that would be a major news story

If you keep having sweet drinks/food, you may develop insulin resistence. This can lead to diabetes, some people/ethnic backgrounds are proned than others. Other factor like, family history, obesity, poor exercise, pregnancy etc can also contribute.

No, unless you are always drinking a sugar drink. However, extreme thirst is a SIGN of diabetes.

sugar is An adictive drug in reality ,you can get hooked on it
the best things to drink are always water and natural juices .everything else is bad for you in degrees and depending the quantity
I ended up in intensive care once for over dosing (5 or more liters a day,for a month) on coca cola .almost killed me.

well, it could happen yes, if you eat too much sugar, and drink too much sugar, and i mean this has to be alot, like if you drank 5 cans a day, then maybe when your older it could happen, but its not always true. but the reason why is because your body gets used to all that sugar that you are taking in, and it will keep wanting all that sugar.

No........you can't get diabetes from drinking or eating. It's your pancreas having problems creating insulin that causes diabetes.
