I'm hosting a brunch for 10 women and we've never met in person. Our one common thread is we are all women executives. Can anyone recommend a good ice breaker or lite discussion topic to kick off the event?

I'm hosting book club for 7-10 woman at the end of January. We read Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler. It's nice to have a few appetizers sitting out that don't need to be kept hot and won't go bad after 2 hours. I love to cook and would like something more unique than artichoke dip :) Also, any drink suggestions (I'm pregnant as is one other member, but the others love an alcoholic drink).

In western countries there is a tradition when young girls are swallowing live goldfish whole and keep them alive in their stomaches for a while. They sometimes puke alive goldfish back and still are having them safe and harmlessly, and sometimes they don't puke them out and swallowed fish are kept in their stomachs alive for sometime and then they are dying. I would like to know if there are such girls and I would like to chat with them via skype . . . . please tell me about your experience . . . what kind of feeling is it? how long stays a fish alive in your stomach? please answer me or chat via skype

I look forward to the girl scout cookie sale every year, but this year the cookies are not as good as they used to be.I would like to know, why you guys could not leave the recipe alone for people like me,who love the "bad" oldfashioned taste with all the fat and carbs.I am disappointed and will look for the taste I love elsewhere.Sincerely Liz Brown

I would like the menu to not include anything that needs cutting or is eaten with hands. There will not be enough chairs and tables for everyone so some people may have to eat standing up and won't be able to cut food. Also finger food is messy so prefer dishes that can be eaten with only a fork. Any cuisine style is good. There will be about 25 guests and they will help themselves at the buffet table. I have appetizers and dessert taken care of, just need ideas for what goes in between.

What do people usually do for bachelorette parties? The one I'm planning is taking place at a bridesmaids house because not everyone is old enough to go out to the bars. So besides getting snacks, drinks, and a stripper what else should we do? Ideas pleaseeeee!

My sweet sixteen is this March, and I am trying to figure out what I should do. I live in Michigan and it is really cold at that time of year, still! So no scavenger hunts or anything outside, bcuz it wont work out. I want it to be really special and I want it to be remembered, by me and everyone else. I want people to talk about it at school. I want some girlfriends to come and I want some family. I want it to be at my house, but my mom said no, because our house isn't "kid proof" as she would say. I have 3-6 baby cousins coming, so it wont work out that way. My aunt says we can have it at her house, but I wouldn't know what to do there. I really don't want to go to the movies or anything like that either. My mom wants to go to a place that has indoor go-karts and laser tag, but it seems kind of kiddish. If we did that, which thats what it might come down to, I want my friends to come back to my house and do something, but I don't know what. Please, if you have any ideas, let me know!

My daughter was born on March 17 and although she will only be 3, I still want to have some fun with the "Pot of Gold" and Leprechaun theme (especially since St. Patrick's Day falls on a Saturday this year and provides the perfect opportunity to hold her party the same day).

There will be people of all ages, so any ideas you have (other than getting flat on your face drunk, which I understand is a tradition) would be helpful.

Thanks!
