Beer, Wine & Spirits - March 2007

Every time I try to drink alcohol at night, even as early as 6 or 7pm, I'll get vivid nightmares. Most people I know say that alcohol relaxes them and helps them sleep better. Why do you think I'm getting this reaction, and is there anything I can do about it? Maybe it is because I'm not a regular drinker (I go out for a drink or two every couple weeks or so), and my body is just not used to it. Would drinking on a more regular basis cut back on this reaction?

I am headed out to a party tonight and I've got some peppermint schnapps, but I don't know what to mix with it. Anyone have any ideas? I need something fairly cheap, and I'm not really a fan of pop.

Hey Guys,

I have my bartending certification, formal training, and former experience. I got a new job at a pub, where they told me I'd be bartending, but its a month later, and I'm stuck in a server's position!!
Is it soo true that who bartends is based on seniority of the workers? I mean, there are ppl behind the bar, who have less experience and knowledge of the job than I do.
Any comments, suggestions?

MGD vs BUDWEISER which beer you like better? I personally like MGD better it has almost CORONA taste like,I only drink this beer though when I want to get drunk for cheap,other wise its Heineken,ST.Pauli Girl,Becks,Baltika.Which one of these two beers do you like better?

My husband and I have been treated to a very upscale exclusive restaurant. One that we would never be able to afford on our own. We are going tonight, for my birthday. How do I order a good wine? I know that white wines go with seafood, and red wines with meat, but that's about the extent of my wine knowledge. What if I order steak and lobster? What kind of wine goes with that? Am I supposed to swirl it in the glass, smell it, comment on it's bouquet (whatever that means)? I am totally lost. Please help! I have a dinner tonight with very important people that I want to impress.
