I had dinner with a brandy producer in the village of Jarnac in France a few years ago. Before the meal he served brandy in a tall glass with or 7 up as an aperitif. After the meal we had brandy served with the dregs in our coffe cups and a sugar cube added. If you really don't like it don't drink it - use it in cooking. Brandy and Babycham is also a classic - pear champagne - probably anything sparkling would make it bearable.

Do not drink Brandy in shots its a sipping drink out of a snifter. The best thing to add to Brandy is coldness put it in the freezer and if you need to keep it cold or dilute it add some ice. You should also not scrimp on Brandy what you pay for is what you get. get at least VSOP or XO. VS and just Brandy are just plain nasty.

First; Man-up. Second; brandy is for sipping. It is generally served in a "snifter" glass which pretty much forces you to smell it as you drink it. And third; It's not that strong or bad. I guess you aren't either.

Give Diet Cola and a fresh lime squeeze a try. Serve over ice.
