IS there any grace period to sell alcohol after Midnight... Sometimes when working nightshift at our store, People will walk in in large numbers 5 minutes before midnight, They get beer and queu up and time expires while on the queu.. I always find myself selling the alcohol as late as 3-5 minutes after time.....

Can i be arrested for selling beer 3 minutes after time... Also is it illegal to deny beer purchases 5 minutes before midnight...

I've run out of lighter fluid that I regularly buy at a local tobacco store for my Zippo lighter. I've got plenty of charcoal lighter fluid on hand because every time I go shopping for a planned barbeque I can never recall if I have enough charcoal lighter fluid. Can the charcoal lighter fluid I have on hand be used in my Zippo lighter?

I am making Manhattans for a cocktail party this weekend and haven't been able to find Angostura bitters. What is a good (hoepefully cheaper!) bitters replacement that will still tatse relatively good? I am located in the UK, if that makes any difference.

I drank some red wine last night and saw these little flakes at the bottom of the glass as I nearly ended my glass.

... or is it simply that they like the taste of those particular wines? Wine snobs drive me crazy, insisting they are more refined or worldy or sophisticated. Perhaps enjoying FEWER wines means your palette is more sophisticated. What do YOU think? Thanks for answering...

Okay, I guess this isn't so much a question as it is a suggestion for all the restaurant and bar managers out there.

Most restaurants pour their wines by the glass into a glass or small carafe at the bar and then bring the wine to the diner's table.

A few of the really classy places I have been to in Montreal and Quebec City would bring the bottle to the table, show me the label, then give me a sample pour to ensure the wine is okay before filling my glass.

It's a little extra effort for the server, but I really can't see how an establishment could go wrong doing this!

I love vodka but I really don't know many drinks you can make with it.

What are some of your favorite drinks and how do I make them. Thanks
