Singles & Dating - 8 March 2007

my bf and I dated for a few months - everything was great. got along very well, no problems at all. he surprisingly even told me he loved me. said he knew it seemed early to say it, but there is just something there that he can't describe, he's never felt this way, all of that stuff. then, just 2 days after that, he stops talking to me. i asked him a ? that may have made him mad, but he hasn't told me why he is really mad. just ignores me. won't text me back, answer the phone, etc. what has me confused it that he will text me out of the blue and say things like i miss you, then he'll text right back and say maybe, a little, okay, yes, i miss you a little. he has done that several times. little things like that. i don't respond because i don't know what to think of it. so, do u think he's really done or just needs time or what?? i feel stupid holding on, but i do miss him and want to at least try and talk it out with him. any suggestions?

its about body language im asking really but I'll take today as an example. This morning walking into my first tutorial today to sit with my friends at Uni this girl who I lust over loads was sat a couple of rows in front, and as I walked by her I was kinda half asleep and just went to my friends and as I reached my seat she turned round and smiled at me for what was about 2 seconds and then turned round again to talk with her friends.
Then about an hour and a half later I saw her working in the library, I had work to do with a friend and at one point when I went to print something she looked up at me from her computer and smiled whilst I was at the printer again for a couple of seconds.
I dont know her well at all and she doesnt know me well either but can a guy make it obvious to a girl he fancies her and is she likely to respond like this with 2 second glances and random little chats now and then if were walking the same way and its just us 2? Im not sure...
does she like me?

my g/f does not want me to think about other girls in "that way" when I am alone, or at any time. she says it would be extremely hurtful to her. obviously i can lie about my thoughts, no one can prove a thing. but i don't like to lie. furthermore, i believe that what i think and what i act out are completely different and should be judged accordingly. Also, i dont think she has a right to control my imagination. how do other girls feel about this? do you try to impose, or think it is right to impose limitations on another persons thoughts? or is my g/f trying to get to much control?

Everytime my boyfriend buys me something, he always has to tell me how much he spent. I am a very appreciative person, so I always tell him thank you, so why does he feel the need to tell me the price on gifts, like X-Mas items??

I just started talking again to a guy I've known for a long time, we were out of contact for a while. I'm not exactly single, and we live in different states, but I really want to be with him. should I go with my feelings or my head? I have everything I need right now, a home, money, food, but I'm not happy, it's not what I want. He is moving back home soon, which is when I'll be able to date him. Should I move out and get my own place so that I can date him or stay where I am safe and really have no worries?

Ok long story short. I was seeing this guy for over a year, mostly casual, good friends, flirted, got jealous of each other-practically like gf/bf. but we never went that far, or made things that serious, but we saw each other every week or weekend. anyway, he had to move back to his hometown 2 be closer 2 his family/friends, & for a job. but he still wanted 2 keep in contact with me, even though we'd be 2 states away. which he still has his phone # that he had here, after 9 months of leaving from here. he's contacted me here & there but I do more of the contacting. so..1 of the times he told me that he had met this girl-I don't know if it was to make me jealous or what. then the next time I talked to him, he said he was on a break from her and he hadn't connected w/ his friends back home like he thought he would. ANYWAY, why would he tell me about him & his girl not doing so well? he's telling me things aren't going well like he thought in all areas, so does he miss what he had here?

He moved away for his job and I could not go because of my daughter until she got out of school. He was only there 5 months and he started talking to someone. Then he tells me that he is going to tell her about me and let her down easy. Well he still called everyday and said he loved me. Then he told me he could not afford for me to be there anymore, that he could not pay his bills. Then after 5 months he moves in with her! So I said well you made your choice. He called the day he moved in with her crying and told me that he put all his stuff in storage and it was waiting for us. But he still calls everday and tells me he loves me but his time is spent with her. Why does he do this if he is with her? What would you do if you were me? It was a special love, well to me it was anyway.

Hi. My girl dumped me 5 wks ago (after going out 7 mths) as she said things had changed between us. I tried to convince her not to split but she wanted to do it.

I decided to keep contacting her was a bad idea. It would give her time to herself. She contacted me to say hi and that she had some of my stuff. She wanted to bring it over.

We spoke on the phone and decided to meet up for a drink. How do I play it. I want to come accross as interested but not pushy! How long should I let things carry on for before I ask her to get back with me?

Should I call stuff "dates" or "as friends" or just not say anything about why we are meeting??

I've been dating this wonderful guy for 8 months. he def. has emotional problems after some woman broke his heart about a year ago after a 6 year relationship. he gets really depressed alot and says it has nothing to do with her, but i somehow feel that it does. we've stopped seeing each other in the past, but we've just become so attached its hard to not talk to or see him. he's 8 years older than me, im a senior in college and he says he feels like he's hurting me. The other day he threw this crazy fit (crying, screaming) telling me he wasnt good for me and i wasn't good for him, that he needed to be alone, and that he couldnt promise me a relationship. He said his ex really damaged his self esteem. I really love him, and wish he could see how great he really is. we eventually made up, but didnt come to a conclusion. i keep thinking about it. i'm on a break, and went away for a week. its been 4 days, and i havent contacted him. i dont know what to say to him anymore.

alot of you wise 18 yrs olds seem to have all the answers, and i was curious-i AM cheating i know it with bf (loosely used term too) but my ? is-what is cheating? i know sex/oral etc is cheating-but what bout flirting? kising? say like 2nd base? or is it moment you feel anything for another? where is the "line" so to say? some will say not till penetration-others at 1st kiss? i don't lose sleep over it-i WAS married and never even thought bout another guy-and now i am single and do as i please until i am committed again. I am a 28 year old guy getting married in 3 months time. I am a virgin and have saved it all up for the right one ! I am quite anxious abt the first time sex . She is a virgin too. I am afraid I will endup and get wet and finish very quickly the first time and that the first time will end sooner than it started .

Any first time similar experiences of you guys ? Any fiascos? Does it get better with time ?

My mate Lenah met Hunter a yr ago thru a store which the guy manages & over-time they've become quite close.1 day he lended her CDs & ever since then they have been sharing their stuff with each other cds,books etc. He even asks her 4 her advice\opinions on things. He gives her discounts & free stuff.1 time they spent almost an hour or so just talking customers would be walking in & out & still they'd be talking away about whatever. I thought it was quite cute hehe What i've noticed is that whenever she walks instore hes always happy 2 see her he could be serving a customer & she'd walk in & he'd be like "Oh hey mate" & she'd be like "Hey dude watsup? & away they'd start 2 talk I think they suit actually but yeah. Theyre so comfortable arnd each other u can see it I think theres something there btwn them do you guys think so?

Hi,

I have seen a girl around campus that I think is really cute.
She knows this, as a friend that I know told her this. We have chatted a little but I know very little about her, today is the first time she said hi to me, after finding out that I said she is cute? Should I see it as anything? It started with her complaining when she was standing in a line to get food, that she is in a drought(with guys) I turned around and said her time will come. She laughed. A few days later, I was checking her out, and my friend told her I am admiring her(blind) I asked her about the drought and she laughed. Then today, I saw her standing in a line to get food, and she saw me, smiled, and its afterwards that a friend told her I think she is cute. After that she said hello when I was walking past her. I said hello back.
Any advice?
What do I do now when I see her around.
I don`t even really know her name.
Does this mean anything. I tend to stuff things up because I rush too quick.

My gf always says things to jealous me, hurt me, and will do anything to make sure i dont get happy by any way from her.
inspite, she gives so much pain, i still luv her.

Whenever i try to break-up, i cant - simply coz i luv her.
I also waited months for her to change/talked about it but she never will change and i am sure she like me getting hurt from inside.

Am i fool? to still not breaking with her?
How the hell shall i make my mind understand to let her go..... ?
