Singles & Dating - 1 October 2006

I'm almost done with my divorce and been with my husband for seven years. I have not done this in awhile, and just wandering how do I get myself back in the dating sceene. I don't want to find men in bars. I tried the on line, but the good ones seem to live out of state, or people online really are not serious. What should I do? I'm a pretty 27 year old, and don't understand why this is so hard.

i have a gf and whn she gets a lil drunk she just wants to start an argument and will pick on anything to shout me down, what can i do, i am really thinking of leaving and getting my own flat but if i answer back it gets worse i am not spineless and so thats my instand reaction, but soemtimes its just best to just say nothing and ignore it i feel i am walking on eggshells when she is like this i have told her she drinks too much but her job is well stressful and i have been there so i understand but her emotionss are so up and down its getting me down, how wud u guys approach this??thanks 4 your input

Okay so I hear everyone say all the time every girl wants to find a man that will "sweep them off their feet" so to speak, meaning they must put out to get you. But if they're trying to hook up with you at a club or party or something how do you know they're not just trying to get some so they can brag to their guy friends about their accomplishment. At the same time, a guy who is usually to himself or doesnt go out of his way to get a girl is considered a loner or loser and doesnt want to be bothered, ie someone who plays video games or posts on message boards all day. Isnt there a double standard? I just find it irritating that people I talk to in person and online tell me, even if its in a joking way, that I need to get a life or make fun of the fact I "never get laid". Im not going out of my way to try to woo a woman and play the whole flirt game. What can I do to make myself come off as an honest person when talking to girls but at the same time not a loser who plays xbox

We were laying down recently and he looked me in the eyes, hugged me tight for a long time and then said, "I'm comfortable with you..." I smiled, pulled away, looked at him and said, "Well is that a bad thing??" He looked at me and said, "I think I'm too comfortable with you..." I handled the rest of the conversation well I think...I mean, I didn't grill him with 20 questions, I just hugged him and said that I like that he's comfortable with me. Now its been a couple of days and I haven't even heard from him whereas he talked to me every day before this. This is a pretty new relationship so I'm just wondering whats going on.

HE, being an out going, freindly, and good natured chap is very very worried about any near future liaisons,
That being his peformance may not be up to his own extremley high standards, he obviously does not want to upset any future partners. How can I calm his thoughts and keep him thinking he is probably the best lover in the world...???
