We were laying down recently and he looked me in the eyes, hugged me tight for a long time and then said, "I'm comfortable with you..." I smiled, pulled away, looked at him and said, "Well is that a bad thing??" He looked at me and said, "I think I'm too comfortable with you..." I handled the rest of the conversation well I think...I mean, I didn't grill him with 20 questions, I just hugged him and said that I like that he's comfortable with me. Now its been a couple of days and I haven't even heard from him whereas he talked to me every day before this. This is a pretty new relationship so I'm just wondering whats going on.
What does that mean????

Hugged you tight for a long time....he likes you, wanted to let you know...expressed it by saying he's comfortable with you.
You pulled away...he thought...oh crap...
You said....well is that a bad thing?
He said....too comfortable...meaning...he really really likes you...hopes that's OK and wanted to hear you say it back.
Guess he was hoping for a more definitive response from you....
Now he is embarrassed and does not know where he stands.
Sometimes we guys need you ladies to almost have a flare gun to signal us with. The ball is in your court now. If you obviously like him, you need to be obvious about it. He's waiting to see where he stands.

I had a similar relationship a couple of years ago where the guy just quit calling as often, then not at all. I asked him several times was anything wrong, what did I do, am I coming on too strong, etc. His answer was always the same. "Nothing" or "I don't know". It drove me crazy for a long time. Obviously, he wanted to break up cause when I quit emailing and calling him, I never heard from him again. I think it is really chicken s--- that he didn't have the balls to tell me something rather than keeping me dangling. If it were me, I'd try to let it go and see if he does call again or not. Don't torture yourself like I did. It's not worth it. If he cares, he'll come around. Good luck!

It means the level of comfort he feels with you has scared him and he needs some time to deal with what he is feeling. Give it a few more days and call him and see where his mind is, then decide whether to proceed or not.

Comfort him but do it in private you know people ears are open nowadays and it seems like on the sly you broke up with you if so I'm sorry and I hope you can get over it.

Well...just a guess but he could mean he's starting to like you more as a friend than a girlfriend. At least, that's assuming that you guys were going out before.

i think his motto is: hit it and for-git it. don't try to contact him and if he tries to contact you don't answer the phone let him think you can live without him. right now in his eyes the chase is over so you have to be unavailable for him. just to show him that the chase is still on.
