My boyfriend [soon ex-boyfriend] is a wonderful guy, and seems pretty into me. Yet I have decided to break up with him; I'm tired of him, and I am absolutely sure I need to.

The thing is, I can't do it for the next there days [I'm busy], and the only other chance I get is in two weeks at a gathering with friends [I would break up with him near the end, when people are leaving.] He has contacted me by phone, and I am desperate to avoid him - I'm really not into him anymore. But should I just break up with him over phone? Or drag it on until the gathering and do it in person? [I hear in person is the best way, and most fair, to break up with a guy.]

My boyfriend and I have had a rough couple of weeks. I was at his house four nights this week because I've had a lot of bad stuff happen to me this week and I needed a shoulder to cry on. Last night we were talking on the phone and he told me not to take it personal but having me over was "getting old". So tonight I had planned a surprise night of candles and music and alla that stuff, but I'm not sure if I should give him space instead. Any ideas?

I am simply looking to see what it is or isn't about me that women don't want. I work hard, play hard, don't take life for granted, friendly, caring, trustworthy (ex-wife cheated on 3 times), faithful, Christian, devoted father of 3 yr daughter, love the outdoors, movies, theater, art, all types of culture and I love people in general. Would never do anything to be mean, harsh or hurt someone. I would give the shirt off my back if you were in need of it. I am 34, 5'7 1/2'', 150lbs, blonde, blue eyes, Hey I am not a model and am glad too. I am level headed and down to earth. I know, understand and love the meaning of family values. I love spending time and doing those things. To me sometimes its the little things that count more than the big extravagant things that people do to impress. What happen to the basics? Like putting a sticky note on the mirror to tell her that you love her. What's so hard about that? Its just the thought process that goes into. That's what I have to offer
