So, speaking of female menopause and its conjunction with the (male) midlife crisis...

Why don't women ever run off with a hot young man - or busty young blonde for all you lesbians out there? Why don't we buy porsches and get a loft in soho for our new wife (life)? Why don't we quit our jobs as business executives and/or moms and become professional sky-divers?

Well, I heard from a post-menopausal woman that all her cravings for a) chocolate, b) spas, c) other types of cravings, as well as her power surges, periods of exhaustion, and mood-swings died....

when she hit MENOPAUSE.

As for men, at exactly that time period, the husband or midlife male begins to have cravings, power surges, periods of exhaustion, and mood swings.

In other words, they start their periods.

Why is this?

I recently contacted an ex- (who is now married) to see if she wanted to try and be friends. During an e-mail exchange she told me she had three miscarriages and was also dealing with breast cancer, apologized, and said she needed to focus on herself. I expressed sympathy, and offered again nothing but friendship and support. She then sent an e-mail asking me if I was "trying to wreck" her life, claiming people who walked by her computer might see what I had written. I was shocked by all the drama. I've since respected her wishes and left her alone, but I don't understand why she lashed out at me like that. If she hates me so much, wouldn't it have been easier to not disclose any details and just say "I'm sorry, but I can't be friends with you" without disclosing such personal info or getting angry? I can only assume she lashed out b/c she was trying to make me feel bad (and I do feel bad) so that I'd give up and go away. Am I wrong? Is it possible she's lying about her health?

My boyfriend and I are living together and this one girl caused us to breakup once. We ended up getting back together. Now she has been calling and wants me to forgive her. I told her if she wants to be my friend she will not be calling him. She has been calling him on his cell when he is at work. I love this man very much. How do I get rid of her once and for all? This is the kind of woman that is not happy unless she is causing trouble for another couple. I don't think it is right for this to be going on. I don't talk to other guys on the phone cause I was raised that when u are in a relationship u don't do anything to cause a brakeup.

I met this gut through an online police forum...he is a copper. He did tell me he had a gf but that she was ok with us chattinng. She went away on holiday for 7 months. So we have become close online. We started getting really intimate....letting each other know what we like (sexually). I know its wrong f me...but I started falling for him...even without a picture . I showed him a picture of me. We didn't engage in anything but a bit of intimate talk as well as everyday talk. He said mid way through asking me to describe how I would turn him on.....that sooner or later our intimate chats would have to stop. I know I have no right really to be hurt....but I am. I asked him to block me from chatting and then I changed my mind. I really can not not handle rejection at all. Do you think its likely he will do this again with another girl sometime in the future. He said he loves his gf and always will. But he said that he felt bad ....mid way after asking me to describe how i'd turn him on.

My b.f. of over a year told me last night that he loves me and wants to be with me but he is just not attracted to me. I've lost about 50 lbs since I'v e been with him and have been trying to get myself in to better shape. He says I am the best woman he has ever met by far but my physical state is just not what he is used to being with. I'm a size 14. He is overweight and has gained 50 lbs since we have been together. I love him and want to make this work, however I feel he feels I am not good enough. Isn't love supposed to be unconditional? Can this possibly work out and stand this test? I don't know if I should stay or go. My heart is broken.

I know this sounds stupid but why are girls such bitches? I have about 4 really good female friends, but I feel like the rest of the female population is going mad.

They either hate you for no good reason!
They think that the world revolves around them and because you are in that world, you must revolve around them!

When you have a great guy, why do these ***** women instead of thinking, he's nice I wanna guy like him, they think I WANT HIM!

Am I the only girl that thinks like this cos I really do feel like I am losing my mind.

4 nights ago i tried to loose my virginity. he had on a condom and tried to do it, but we stopped after 3 tries because his *thing* couldn't fit, it barely went half way in. and it was hurting me so we stopped. I asked him several times if he *came* and he said no not yet. but we ended up NOT doing it anyway. strangely, the next day and even now my stomach feels bloated and gassy. my back hurts(probably from sitting on this chair all day). could i be pregnant?? he said, he checked the condom the next day but didn't see any hole on it. is it because im just paranoid im feeling this way? im supposed to have my period at the end of this month so i highly doubt I'm having cramps because of my period. what can this be?

Is it normal to spend two years, after breaking it off with someone, to try to achieve and prove yourself worthy again, not to them, but to the idea that someone got the best of you? Only to go for so long and then to get to a point where either you feel you achieved enough, or maybe the wounds just healed abit, or maybe your life circumstances just got better. Which do you think it is?
