I haven't been there, but we have one here where I live for the families of children at St. Jude and its supposed to be wonderful.
If you're asking because youre going to be staying there for a bit then I wish your family the best of luck with your situation. God Bless.

Great question! This gives me the opportunity to spread the word.

Christmas Eve in 2004, my son came down with Meningitis. We were on vacation and he was visiting his mother in NY. We had to rush up there to find him in very bad shape. We were wrecks. We had no place to stay and were at least 6 hours from our extended family...

Ronald McDonald house took us in - it was the most wonderful comforting place I have ever seen. The people were so helpful and understanding. I've never been so well taken care of in such a time of need.

If you need to, stay there. I know that if you have to stay there it's for some illness issues and I'm sorry for that but that is a right place to be when you need some support.

There are Ronald McDonald Houses near hospitals (so there is more than one), so that family members can stay nearby when a child is seriously ill and hospitalized.

I haven't been there, but a family member stayed in one for a few days. Apparently, it is just set up to be a comfortable home to stay in. (When she lost her baby she donated his very nice rocking horse to Ronald McDonald house, so siblings of hospitalized children could use it while staying at the house.)
