Friends - March 2007

Okay, this all happened yesterday, we had gotten into an argument. I wanted to fix it and have everything back to normal. So we talked over the phone when he started to say I had lied to him, when I never lied to him because I like him a lot. Then he said he couldn't trust me anymore, because I had lied to him about something that is personal to both of us. I started to cry because I didn't know why he was calling me a liar, soo the next morning I ask my mom what had happened with that story she told me about him, It happen to be that I misunderstood everything and swicthed it around. But I didn't lie to him, it was just a simple misunderstanding. But now I don't know how to fix the problem? and how to gain his friendship and his trust again? I need help! Please...

Is there a double-standard among men/women living with their parents and are in their 20's? If a man were 22 staying with mom/dad, he'd get ridiculed (by men and women alike). Is it not equally loserish? I moved away from my parents at age 18. I'm in my early 20's now and have been on my own ever since. She doesn't even think there's anything wrong with it. She said she'll probably live with her mom another 5 years or more. And I believe it's going to be the "or more."

She also drops in and out of school periodically, and moves from job to job. Currently she's unemployed and just stays on the internet.

I have a lifetime backstage pass for a concert and everytime the star comes to time my so-called friends start to be nice to me so that i will take one of them with me! for one year i was'nt aware of this cause i really thought that they were my friends, and i took a few of them a couple of times, but for a while now i've been on to them. the concert is coming up on march 23rd and low and behold here comes the phone calls from jerks that i have'nt heard from in almost a year..".hey girl when are you coming out to play?, when am i gonna see you again? it's been too long"!what do i say to just send them back under the nearest rock without being to harsh?

I dont know what my position is here. We are not married and I am sure he has already called his ex wife to tell her all about it. He calls her if he gets a headache. She seems to get the 1st word on everything. Its almost like they are not divorced sometimes. Actually, I think he would be an excellent polygamist.
What should I say or do? I go to his family functions, but everytime something in his family occurs, his ex wife shows up with her box of tissues putting on a great big show and making sure everyone knows she is present.
My dad died last year and I was in so much grief it was the saddest day of my life and he didnt even sit next to me at his funeral. He is so inconsiderate
I have considered sending a card or a flower to the hospital, but I feel stupid putting on my name only on the card, but he certainly will not contribute to the cost. Should I just pretend like nothing happened and stay out of it? Family things make me nervous

I had a guy friend who mislead me with mixed signals and I did the same to him without knowing it. We had a falling out. He said he cares. And, I do, too. What does this mean? Does that mean we have feelings for each other or just friends? Right now we are keeping a lot of distance even maybe never talking again. I think I care more than he does, it is hard to tell with him. He is flirtatious with everybody.

Okay, I have a friend (girl) who is soo into a guy. She would go to bball game not to watch the game but to watch guys. I am so tired of her inviting me to the game saying that if one of her guy's friends can not come, so the ticket would be mine. What kinda invitation is that? she does that all the time. At the time we go to the game. she would leave me for the guys and just totally ignore me. Then, she would come and sit with me again just to accompany her to talk to the guys she doesnt really know because she said that she needs peer support. After that, if the guys talk to me, she would just step infront of me and just cover me, so that those guys only talk to her. She would get jealous if some of those guys would give me a hug and then she would requested to them. If she wanted to talk with the guys, she wanted me to carry her stuff. She thinks no girl is hotter than her. She also would use my name to be able to talk with guys. She is my friend but I am tired of her attitudes.

i got back in touch with one of my old friends from when we were kids, we use to date, an last year we got back in touch an 4 weeks ago he asked me to get back with him i said yes, an we spilt up the other week, the fing is i really felt horrible after tellin him an later on he we were talkin an he wanted us to give it a go an try an make it work, so i said yes to him, an now i keep thinkin to myslf have i done the rite thing as theres somethin tht keeps tellin me i havent, he is a nice guy we do get on well, but am i better of as just havin him as a best friend or am i just worred over nothen? i cant seem to win coz what ever i say it seems to be wrong inside, also my mum is not to fusy on him over lil things what hae been said..am confussed coz i dont wanna hurt him an i dont wanna loose him, please help me thank you

as far as I can remember, I could'nt make friend whit girls, dont know why.
It was o.k untill I went to school. I live in Iran and schools are not complex. (boys and girls schools are seprate) every thing started from that when I go to school. we were 3. me and 2 other boys.when I went to school I was 6 but continue my relationships with other two while I became 9. then we leave together and I left alone with girls at school. at first I didnt pay attention that I dont have any BEST frinds for myself. I was friend with everyone.so now I'm 16 and I really want to be a best friend with a girl that I like her more than everyone. but really dont know haw to say. u know with boys its esear to make friend as I have one alredy. but somethings are not match with boy and girl. I realy dont know haw to start a conversation with a girl like her. she is my friend only but I want to improve my friendship.
thats why I really feel lonely without any female friends at all. help me what to do.

I've met this girl through my mate a few times. Everytime I see her, she seems very happy to see me, buys me a drink and we get on very well.

On our last group night out, she kept trying to get me to dance near her, grabbing my hand whenever she had an opportunity and also kept trying to take photo's of me (alone). Her boyfriend was out that night and he kept giving me 'dirty' looks whenever she spoke to me. He sometimes went up to her when she was dancing nxt to me - think he was trying to tell me something!!!

I didn't try anything that evening, wouldn't even think about it! I asked for her number towards the end of the night-she said she has a boyfriend(which I knew).I said it don't matter,I'm only asking for your number.She then just typed it in ASAP after that!

Does she possibly fancy me??? Why she give her number to me if she has a BF???

p.s. I only asked for the number to see if she'll give it to me....

A guy friend and myself had a falling out. I spoke my mind on things that he was doing in giving mixed signals and he told me about I was doing too in calling him too much taking it as chasing him which I was not aware of doing. Now, we both really don't want anything else to do with each other. He is very flirtatious and can be misleading and he really does not care how he comes across.
