Just be there for him or her. If he or she wants to tell anyone let him or her do it their self.

No. If your friend is having trouble because relative died ask her if she might like to speak to a counselor. Deaths are hard to handle. Don't go sharing her problems all over and embarrass her. (I had a church counselor do that once.) Have her seek help if it is too much for you.
