Friends - February 2007

I am going to a leadership conference tomorrow its a time to
see the power and strength of networks - it's all about people influencing people. And I really want to break out of my shell and really go and have fun, meet new people, and rbuild relationships that stick, and learn all that I can. Well the last conference I went to I broke out of my shell, and opened up to my learning partner, and she was a senior and it was like she wasnt really interested in becoming friends, and that is my main goal, and so at first I was discouraged that I opened up for nothing, but I am going to give it another shot any advice on my approach this time around. My goal is to make at least one friend or even an aquantance during this conference.

Ok, so I was using my instant messanger and she said she said her name, I also used to be friends with her, anyways she called me bad names and used my name and also called me a lesbian, which I'm not. I don't have very many enimies, I'm really good with getting along with people, I tried saying that I'm not and tried saying that she's being funny, I ended up blocking her. How can I forget about it and what can I do besides talking to a school's consouler?

There are some mean girls at my school trying to fight me it's two of them and I didn't even say anything to them all I said was to Stop making rude comments about me now they wanna fight me Should I get some pepper spray on them?I went to the principal and he didn't do anything and the counselor and my mom that didnt help either.

Let me just give you facts:

--Pretty much same age--he is about 1 yr older
--We are friendly but have very little opportunity to see one another
--Yes, I have met his family and we get along well
--We are both musicians (me: cello and singing, him: guitar)
--We have similar interests and get along admirably.
--I love him, and he flirts with me--and many other girls. =(
--Have asked him out before, but I think he forgot about it? Response was, "I'd like to, but no." This was 8 months ago.

I don't want to give him up just b/c he hits on more than 1 girl at a time. Other than this he has excellent character. Am thinking of sending post-V-day greeting. Is this the right thing to do? is it worth it? help!

Well i don't know but i feel really depressed these days, people are

just looking at me for no reason(speacialy girls).

then theirs the bad luck no matter how many time i do good deeds

This is complicated, plz bear with me. My good friend and I met a guy in class, and since we all sat together we talked a lot. this guy is kinda weird.. more like unpredictable, cause he can say random things and people know he doesn't mean it. He can also be rude, but he usually doesn't mean that either ...and yet he's on the quiet side... Anyway, I've had some slight feelings for this guy for a while. and my friend just told me she does too. We've already discussed about our feelings for him, but I told her I had gotten over him.. which I sorta forced myself to. Something happened and another guy that she kinda liked asked her out. During that time I thought it was ok to renew those feelings, but they broke up a week later, and a few days after she told me she still really had feelings for the original guy. .. We both know he's unpredictable, since he's quiet and we don't know how he'd react if she told him. I don't know what to do either, since I know I like him. Help?

they're best friends and they both like me, i dunno which 1 to pick. 1's really chunky , but he has a really great personallity and is hilarious. i can share a lot of stuff with him. the other 1 is very athletic, smart, funny , and flirts with everybody ,but he has very strict parents and i don't think they would let him have a girlfriend . they both like me and i like them too, it's hard breaking one of their hearts.

Ok.. so I work with this guy.. he is a consultant at my company so not an actually employee. We are friends at work and chat all the time. But anyways...

So time #1. Out drinking at Happy hour. We are continuously chatting and drinking. As the night goes on we are talking more and more and then he gets a little touchy. Discreetly rubbing my leg as we stand next each other. Then at the end of the night he asks me back to his hotel. I said "no" and then he asked if we could go out later in the week. We both had lots to drink but I completely remember the whole thing. Next day at work he avoids me and acts weird for the next few weeks. We still aren't friends like we were.

2 weeks ago. went out again for an event. After the event and drinking at a bar.. we are heading back and he starts to discreetly rub my leg again.. and then txts me when I get home saying... how much fun he had.

So what's his deal? Why does he flirt when we drink and tense up after?

One of my best friends and I have known each other for our whole lives.As she always says, we've known each other since before we were born because our mothers met when they were pregnant.We've always trusted each other with everything and have never been shy to say anything to each other.Lately, she's been acting strange.I think she's going through a phase.She's acting more mature.In kind of a bad way.At her school dance, she wore this tiny mini-skirt.It barely went past her butt, as she described it to me.She also has been talking to all of her new friends.Everytime I call her, she's giggling and laughing.I can hear her typing.She says she will call me back later.Either that, or she's on the other line with some of her friends whom she always complains about to me.She's not the same anymore.Is everyone in their early teen years going through a similar phase (I'm younger than her and nowhere near maturity, don't blame me) or is she just different?
