Let me just give you facts:

--Pretty much same age--he is about 1 yr older
--We are friendly but have very little opportunity to see one another
--Yes, I have met his family and we get along well
--We are both musicians (me: cello and singing, him: guitar)
--We have similar interests and get along admirably.
--I love him, and he flirts with me--and many other girls. =(
--Have asked him out before, but I think he forgot about it? Response was, "I'd like to, but no." This was 8 months ago.

I don't want to give him up just b/c he hits on more than 1 girl at a time. Other than this he has excellent character. Am thinking of sending post-V-day greeting. Is this the right thing to do? is it worth it? help!

A guy plays the guitar to be admired and become a pop star, not settle down with one chick. He likes you as a friend and wants to keep it that way. He'll be a heartbreaker and he won't care.
Forget about it. It isn't love, it is infatuation and he already knows the difference....you should, too.
